Some more info on him on this website.

Bit of a long read, but if you just go to the west Adelaide games, he looks like he is generally in their best players.

Also the below quote is on the website, re the state game for SANFL against WAFL, which Hine mentioned in his press conference was with and against previously AFL listed players

#1 John Noble
Stationed on the wing, Noble was excellent for South Australia providing speed and class throughout the match. He finished with 24 possessions, five marks, five rebounding 50s, four inside 50s, and four tackles.

I’m negative because there’s literally only 3 players on our whole list I don’t rate?

Good lord I imagine If didn’t rate like half of them. I was one of the ONLY posters on this board in 2017 who rated our list above Richmond’s. The premier.

So spare me.
To be fair they've won a flag and we've still won nothing so in hindsight it still means FA in 2017 and now.

Speed wins over most things in the AFL, these days players are robots and only the talented ones succeed, a classic example are the real quick Irish lads, despite not playing the game it’s usually their wheels that get them noticed. At least Noble has played the game at a high level, get him into an elite AFL club and he can only get better.

I'm glad we have selected someone with a bit of pace because that's what we need an option for. When you add endurance and field kicking that's something to work with. He'll be an important boost to our VFL side too and I hope makes us more competitive. Undersized state league mid does make me a little wary and I hope we have better luck with Noble than we did with Smith, Dwyer and Martin.

The quickest out of those three was Dwyer though and he wasn't quick so I'd be fair bit more confident.

I nearly didn’t recognise him, looks great and healthy
It is funny how we can look at the same thing and see differently. I actually thought he looked unwell.

Yeah absolutely. I'm stoked we have another speedy option. Regardless of where we use Noble that pace will be useful. It helps balance our list. Assured field kicking and endurance are also pretty important for our footy style.

You'd hope he can get up and down the field with his endurance to assist transition. Utilise his pace to apply defensive pressure or work through zones. And use field kicking to maintain possession. That suits our style for sure. Plus he seems another good character which we focus on and target.

I think we have brought him in as a wing personally. One thing our current preferred wing options lack, whether that be Sidebottom, Phillips, Mayne and even Aish, is express pace. Mayne and Sidebottom are getting on in their careers also so a young wing option makes sense to me.

Fair enough, l thought when he had all that weight he would not see this year out.

Welcome aboard to John! Get some solid training in and set up for a tilt next year, any games this year a bonus!

His highlights reel looks pretty good, I thought

Caleb Daniel is a legitimate midget at 168cm but John Noble is actually a decent 180cm so just shy of 6 foot but they weigh the same...

So probably gets knocked over by a stiff breeze but the quickest player on our list now according Derek Hine.
Another mid size light weight. I want someone to put the fear of <deity of choice> in the opposition for a change.

Although it's a long shot he sees senior action this year, you never know. He's been in good form in the SANFL and is coming straight into the VFL team this week so he has time to stake a claim... if injuries occur or he demands a spot there is a chance this type of player could come in. The pace gives him an edge, and it looks like he knows how to use it from what I've seen, knows his way around a footy field.
