And some reluctance from some to stray too far from shower/power facilities The two nights at Coffins Bay was hard enough to get over the line.

I am pretty new to camping. Not something we did as kids. But keen to get out off grid a but more with Mrs Geoffa and Geoffa jnr


We are in tents, saw a caravan cross over on the highway near Elliston and nearly lose it in the wind. I am never getting a caravan. Camper trailer maybe, already take a 7 x 4 box trailer.

Sounds like the obvious trade will get up. Late first rounder.

Once we got that future first from Melbourne, it looked obvious that was the agreed value of Dawson.

No doubt the trade could have gone through at that point. Cynically I believe the AFL wanted the biggest trade, between two popular clubs to be held off for full media exposure.

Really, really impressed with how Reid and co have played this.
Targeted a player out of contract that is entering his prime and fits the age profile of the club. Made fair offers, but also held firm in negotiations.

Effectively traded out pick 23 for Dawson whilst also upgrading from pick 39 to 33. Deal done with still time left in trade week to see if anything else pops up.

Have enough collateral to make a play for pick 1, or to make further pick swaps up to and including draft night.

Really could not have gone better.

They're not used to losing players, took them a while to figure out how to do it.

Not like us with our worn-smooth and thoroughly-greased exit chute that just shoots players out at high velocity towards their desired destination.
