So it's a suspended fine.

My guess it is Anderson came out all politically correct for the optics to appease the wowsers.

Behind closed doors I imagine it would be

'Jordy, there'll be no game suspension, but if you enjoy yourself in public again you'll have to pay the fine so we can appease the wowsers.

Please stay out of the public eye, unless it's your community service duties'

The aints confirmed they're not interested, no other club has thrown any interest.

Looks like Jordy may have to have a hair cut to keep playing footy beyond this year, seems it will only be at Collingwood.

Media can say anything they like about our players…attack them, accuse them…Robbo ‘mental health card’ comments…
Collingwood response…nothing.
Strategy…batten the hatches…wait for the storm to pass.
Don‘t bother attempting to call out unfair comments or bias.
Can't get into a slinging match, but I'd like to see us go silent in the expected interviews and give them nothing.

The 'other fools' played a silly theoretical game and you carry on as if they sexually assaulted someone. As I keep saying ,where is the apology from the AFLW girls who did the exact same thing?

Where is your condemnation of them? It's always who does the deed rather than the deed itself for that is what exposes the utter hypocrisy of this whole overblown drama.

I would love to see how many skeletons all those who love to join the Lynch mob at times like these have in their cupboards

Andrew OKeefe is the perfect example of this farcical behaviour. Preach and lecture to all the bad mean men out there who don't know how to respect a female and we find he belts and kicks them in his down time

I am not sure if that was meant for me? I agree with everything you posted.

Their apology was spot on - for thoughtlessly participating in a nonsense trend.

The reporting was poor on this - selective in missing the fact it is a trend for rating people , make and female, for dating based upon attractive or unattractive traits. They didn’t invent it.

It's an online discussion amongst all genders about things they do and don't find attractive. Absolutely nothing to see, yet two guys were selected to be admonished on the front page of the paper. I thought the club was absolutely pathetic to back the twisted media spin. Protecting image at the risk of player welfare.

Jordy didn’t break a law or offend anybody. So in terms of society he did nothing wrong. He’s been held to a higher standard than regular people because he plays for Collingwood.
Didn’t break a law?, exposing a woman’s breast in public, l think is against the law, especially under Indonesia law. Anywhere there except for Bali he would have been arrested even with out a complaint

i have tried really hard to not get involved in this thread.
But the comments on here are disgusting and so outdated with reality that i'm actually ashamed to be a pies supported reading this.

This isn't going to go well.....so i dare say i won't be responding beyond these comments.

Anyone who thinks what has happened, with both JDG and the other 2, are just out of touch.

football clubs are businesses first. not sporting clubs. businesses.
the complete opposite of what most on here think we are....

I have clauses in my staff contracts about this sort of thing. about bringing the business into disrepute.
Its pretty standard fair and the AFL have them for their players as well...

Do you think the sponsors of the club would be super happy being exposed to this?
I bet there were conversations around this at that level....i would be having them.
Like it or not, if i'm sponsoring a business to the tune that the sponsors do collingwood....then i'm damn sure our values align.
No way would i want my staff coming in and talking about issues caused by our association with a sponsor. I would want them to be proud of the association.
So like it or not, sponsors (rightly) have a say.

For those that think this is about the girl and whether she is ok with it....its not.
pr0n actresses are 'ok with it'....so does that make it ok to share those on social media?
...or do we think its about the grading of the 'act' that's important?
I'd like to know why one is ok and the other isn't? or is it just related to how good at your job you are?

Pies have played this very very well.
They have made it known they are not happy, left it up to JDG about what he wants to do. made the other two fools apologise (who broke the AFL code of conduct btw) and removed the contract.
As a corporate organisation, that's about as good as you can play the hand you've being dealt.

Your point about pr0n actresses is a strawman argument, because such content is unlikely to be permitted on Social Media.
By using this argument, you are trying to dismiss the right of Remy to live her life as she sees fit, and are imposing value judgments, based on what you believe, are acceptable standards of behavior.

The women's movement has moved past this type of paternalist judgement.

As for sponsors - millennials are considered a very important demographic, and sponsors rightly understand they march to a very different tune, where social media is used to flaunt indulgences and risky behaviour.

The unsophisticated Sponsor would be alarmed. However, those who understand that Millennials are an important target market, would take such posts in their stride. Understanding that social attitudes have changed, and that they need to move with the times.

Exactly. They give you the starting score, so you’re only measuring change.

Smelly feet could be a -4.
A corporate box at the footy could be a +3.
Being a Carlton supporter could be a -11.
Dancing to the Grease megamix could be -8.

… but please let’s make it specifically about how our male, Collingwood players are demeaning women!

I'm assuming you haven't been to any bars in Jakarta?

It’s still against the law, wether they act against it is another matter
The bars in Jakarta will be protect by political patronage and corruption
But my point still stands,

No it's worse - he's speaking on behalf of all females which contradicts the whole point of equality and women rights. This woke nation is f#^&$.

Everything Jordy done was 100% consensual and totally benign. The other two are kids being kids - get over it bro!

For gods sake, my wife sees it as a show of affection when I tap her on the bum - you lot would have me locked up for it!

Given that “woke”references socially progressive, it isn’t the right word. My view is the critics are conservative . This is the opposite.

Progressive thinking embraces Remy being empowered in her own sexuality and if she wants to flirt with anyone, including a footballer, and have an only fans account all power to her. Going out dancing, drinking and sexy flirting is pretty par for the course for people in their twenties. Frowning on this is conservative not progressive. They all sound so judgmental.

Being socially progressive, you are more likely to see Jordy needing support through a welfare lens, especially now there is an ADHD diagnosis. Woke people would call this “neuro-divergent” and expect the club to be able to handle this with compassion. Heath Shaw had ADHD and went on to have a great career at another club. Why cannot Collingwood be that club? The club needs to be able to manage diversity and difference.

I am also finding the idea that all women have one view on this completely ridiculous. All these old blokes talking about disrespect of women with pretty chequered histories in this space and not asking any women (outside of a few female journos) themselves. BT talks over Daisy Pearce when she is speaking all the time and none of them even notice.

I would no doubt be described as woke by some and I watched the video and did not see much in it, provided the top pulled down was consensual and she says it was. The fact she posted it herself supports this.

I expected it to just move on quickly. He needs to take care of his mental health now as it sounds like he is in a bad way.

But my point still stands,

That's not actually true. Sharia law is only law for a tiny amount of Indonesia. Western reporting on Asia isn't very accurate. If some nuts mayor in the USA brings in a Draconian law in his town, it's reported as being just in that town because we understand that it's a diverse country with different areas having different laws. If the same happens in a small part of Indonesia or China, it's reported as Indonesia or China is introducing...

Contractually bound.

Maybe they need a separate entrance to protect the players?

I visited Real Madrid’s facilities a few years back and they have secret underground entrances (including at hospitals they use) and ways to get players in and out without being seen by media or the public.

I thought it was over the top but the aggressive behaviour of the media was terrible this week. Club snd AFL have WHS to think about.

To be fair, the people who chose not to fly Emirates because DeGoey grabbed a girls tit with her consent despite their poor human rights records especially concerning women well then they are just a **** wit

I don't know anyone with ADHD so can anyone tell me if it changes your fundamental values as a person?
No, but it can lead to acting without thinking, concentration problems, being impulsive and generally erratic. The medication can also have side effects (naturally).

I don't know anyone with ADHD so can anyone tell me if it changes your fundamental values as a person?
It impacts behavioural and emotional regulation. Thus making you higher risk for a lot of things, from criminal behaviour to social emotional issues. I'd argue that values aren't necessarily shown by behaviour.

Was going to read up on it but thought I would ask if posters have had first hand personal experiences.

Are you serious or trying to make some clever observation? Being diagnosed with a mental health disorder like ADHD doesn't mean something has changed in the person. It means something has been diagnosed. Suggest you tread lightly in this area.

Duly noted and disregarded!
