Surely theres honest conversations happening behind closed doors. The club had to be looking to "make a stand" after the media circus went into overdrive, thats why it was a wet lettuce leaf punishment. They clearly didnt think it was as heinous as the ambulance chasers were trying to make it. Seems to be a mini stand off publicly at the moment but surely if the players love him, the coach loves him, the fans love him and he loves the club it'll get done. Surely..

Elliott would have had suitors if he decided to move on but the 29-year-old fan favourite will now spend his entire career at the Pies.

Pies football boss Graham Wright said of Elliott: “We’re pleased to extend Jamie for another three years, and to hopefully see him play out his career at the club. I agree. There are de facto behavioural clauses in the SPC around disrepute and gross misconduct. I cannot see how something more prescriptive could be included? And what is the mechanism from there. Terminate immediately without pay? Gimme a break.

Have the hot scoop, everything is agreed to in principle between the parties but there is a legal issue holding up the pen to paper.

There is currently a backlog of applications at the Births, Deaths and Marriages office. De Goey has said he won't sign until he officially changes his name to Jordan De Stayey

.....this is also where Chinese whispers lead to the whole us signing McStay at 600k for X years. We are signing De Stayey on that contract.

Edit: can also confirm the 600k was accepted by Jordy because Maynard said he would go Neal-Bull-end on him if he didn't accept.
