This. Walking away from the ground on Saturday my mate and I had the same comment - it felt like there was a direction not to show him on the screen to avoid any potential booing.

of course they deliberately didn't show him. everything is theatre and "Huddo" is the MC. he sets the tone for how you're supposed to think to be a good Port fan. a second or two before the quarter time siren he said something like "the Port fans are happy again" or "they're cheering again" (before any cheering even happened) to define the narrative. as soon as the quarter time siren went, the entire Brisbane game and week of silence meant absolutely nothing because now the new latest thing you have to think about is how we smashed the Bulldogs in the first quarter and everything is perfect.

And then there's Geelong, the AFL's entitled favourite child, the one and only team in the league which gets the travel advantages of a Melbourne team AND the legitimate home ground advantages of a non-Victorian team.
