Is Bribd the KPD or am I thinking of maybe Glass - McGasker (sp?).

How would those two guys compare to each other?

Brind is a big bodied medium forward from SA.

Glass-McCasker is a key defender from WA.

As for Glass-McCasker v Buykx-Smith.

Glass-McCasker has the extra height and size. Both can shutdown their direct opponents but Buykx-Smith is the more advanced being the year older. Glass-McCasker being the year younger and having the extra height and size of the two would probably be my choice.

hi. how do you rate lions academy prospect ruben william? saw him play 1 neafl game looked pretty good, would be good to pick up late in the draft or rookie selection. what about whylie buzza (not sure on spelling) heard good things about him never seen him play?

Add Nate Dennis onto this enquiry to if you could KM, do you think we'll pick him up as a project ruck since Burgers off?

Reuben William showed some signs of something through the u18 champs. So he is definitely worth national draft consideration and if not then a rookie position.

Buzza is a big marking key forward. He is that year older and while reasonably good I see him more as a state league forward than an AFL forward. Though others may disagree and see him as draftable with a few people I've spoken to more keen than I am.

Nate Dennis is interesting. I was hoping for substantially more improvement from him this year after some very encouraging signs last year and I'm not even sure if he has decided whether he wants to play AFL or basketball yet.

He hasn't been invited to the national or state combine that I'm aware of which is highly disappointing in my view as I feel with development he has the ability to have an AFL career.

I do see something in Dennis either as a ruckman or key defender - if he wants to play AFL that is. Particularly behind the ball I've enjoyed his ability to read the flight and take some intercept marks.

Chol is highly draftable and if not selected in the national then like William is worth a rookie position.

Not sure where he will play his best football which is the question. But at a tall while very raw there are those glimpses that will make recruiters think about him at the very least.

Knighter, I'll be heading into both the TAC Cup and VFL tomorrow, anybody I should look out for in the Ranges and Chargers sides?

From Eastern: Ryan Clarke (20), Blake Hardwick (26), James Parsons (17) are those expected to get drafted.
For Oakleigh it's more an even team than a team of stars but none the less watch for: Ben Crocker (9), Sam McLarty (15 - one to watch next year), David Cuningham (12), Kade Answerth (3), Tom Phillips (10) to name a few.

Stiff not to be in the level two academy in my opinion. Also Dylan Clarke (12),Jordan Gallucci (7) from Eastern and Taylin Duman (31) from Oakliegh are my personal favorite 2016 prospects in the game.

Also to look a little further into future a young long blonde locked jayden Stephenson - half forward 4 eastern, has been a revelation in the last month, and is still eligible to play u16 (so draft able in 2017).doing amazing things far some1 so young, if his development continues - could be a top 3 prospect.

Stephenson has shown flashes certainly in every finals game. He'll be good in a few years. Agree.

Hey KM, Do either Hopper or Kennedy have much pace? Cheers
I'll answer while you wait for knightmare
Kennedy is a touch quicker than steele maybe similar to Mundy so just above average and hopper is a touch slower than steele .....hopper and josh kennedy swans is prob an ok comparison in terms of hoppers pace and style

Kennedy is relatively the more athletic and while strong a fairly athletic but still strong bodied midfielder. Hopper is agile but not explosive or an endurance runner.

Where do you think rioli will end up in this draft and where too?

Rioli is not a draft certainty and if picked is a late/rookie selection. He has shown some glimpses of talent and something without his talent being so extremely overwhelming.

Watched the final today. That Lachlan Walker for Oakleigh looked a nice mover and good left foot. Gets a bit of the ball as well. Cant find his name anywhere in phantom drafts. Anyone rate him?

KM looks like this years draft is very wide open looking at your mock draft seeing you have players range from e.g 5-15 range at pick 30

Hey Knightmare, have you seen much of Ben McGuiness and how do you rate him. I personally hes the best pure defensive prospect next year but iwas wondering your opinion on him

Will need to catchup on the TAC Cup Grand Final. Hopefully there is a link to a replay somewhere so that I can catch a replay over the coming week.

Invited to the state combine so he is while an outside chance, in with a shot.

He is one of Oakleigh's team of contributors without being a standout.

Noticed P.Phillips played well in the TAC GF. Bit wayward with 2.6 but would have dominated if he kicked straight. Any chance he could be drafted?

Unusually high scoreboard impact by his standards.

Not invited to the state or national combines and to my eyes was not a standout during the season as yet another able component for Oakleigh without being a standout. So I'm not expecting P.Phillips gets drafted.

I thought the ruckman from Eastern was excellent. Undersized but looks a talent around the ground.

I'm assuming you're talking about Mitchener? He is an overager and handy at TAC CUp level.

Hard to see what his best position he will be able to fill at AFL level as an undersized ruckman.

Might be worth the investment for a VFL side to have developing though would be my thought.

That's just my variation in terms of where I personally rate talents and it's always going to be different to where I see talents going. Though I'm probably over time becoming increasingly confident to evaluate talent more differently to the norm and may take it a few steps further away again from the norm.

The variation for me this year is those I rate much lower than their draft positions I have serious doubts as to whether they're good enough for AFL level, and there are a few I'd consider with greater at least role playing potential at AFL level. So that may mean someone like a Capiron as one example moves past several others I still rate in say the late 20s. I plan over the coming months to probably exaggerate that feel within my power rankings a touch more if anything and just back myself in to a greater extent from that perspective.

Just wondering what you thought about young Hayden Stanley from Eastern ranges. I don't think he can be drafted until next year but I love the way he goes about it

Still a component to Eastern's team rather than a standout, but it's a great sign that given he becomes draft eligible next year that he is at least playing now.

It will come down to his development and how strong his 2016 season is.

Played for Tas through the u18 champs and will have seen all three of those games.

In saying that I can't recall his play so I expect he was quiet.

Will surely develop a view on him over the coming year if he develops his game and comes good.

I think Hinkley / port recruiters really like guys that are really competitive , or combatitive types and speedy guys as well...

Any names that sound like that?

Nathan Freeman.

But being more serious in this draft Ryan Clarke is exactly that. Highly competitive and hard. He won't back down and will really stand his ground and not be intimidated. Plays mostly inside though has that outside balance. And boy can he run. He has the pace and explosion as well as the endurance and gut running.
