There's that, plus pre-season Derby and Bridge whatever it's called. Clubs don't want to travel pre-season. Though since they get bugger all travel during the season, having the Vic clubs travelling more for pre-season games would be fair. Hahaha, that one these days.

So the club knew he had an issue all year and didn't schedule an operation until 8 or 9 weeks after the season ended. Sounds like more PR spin to me, to counter balance bad PR of keeping a player who didnt perform after getting rid of 2 who did. Not to mention some txt issues. Edit I thought this was a story from Saturday's newspaper but its dated 29th August.
