I'm excited for the team, the club and the AFL season in general, but not one individual in particular.

Literally the same guy who posted about a week ago that he doesn't want us to win the premiership this year because it means Hinkley will get an extension.

Right because this is year is the last year of AFL football, nothing is going on past 2022.....

idgaf I want him gone at all costs, same bs every year, our style of play to his mockery of us "challenging for the flag" after being blown out in a PF, then goes into hiding for 5 months.

I'm in the sack Hinkley thread because I want him sacked because I don't think he can win a premiership. If I'm wrong and he does win a premiership, then I don't want him sacked. If sacking the coach is a higher priority to you than winning the flag, cancel your membership.

Depends how the year goes. If they are seen as "on the up" while we are seen as "on decline" then the narrative writes itself regardless of that.

I think you've taken this the wrong way when I said I about not wanting history to repeat itself, I said it with emotion if you couldn't tell already. I meant more I want Hinkley sacked no matter what. If he wins a flag and leaves I can live with it but I don't have this agenda where I don't want port to win a flag at all which you are perceiving me as. We've gone 18 years soon to be 19 without a flag I've been to the 07 final something I'd never like to have to bring up again but for the sake of my passion I will. What I mean is I am happy to concede one more year of not winning a flag to know that it is a guarantee that he'll be sacked for the next season. But with Koch in charge I don't know anymore.

I can't stand the fact that someone has had the longevity in a job knowing he has 3 PF losses to his name with a star studded squad that most other decent coaches would've won us a flag by now. Hope you somewhat now understand where I am coming from, again I could've worded my original post better but like most port fans on this forum I am fed up!

You just don't seem to grasp the concept that there's no guarantee we'll ever win another premiership, whether Hinkley is at the helm or not. Sacking Hinkley isn't some magical remedy that guarantees a future premiership.

Hinkley should be fired for what he has done; not for what we will do from then onwards.

Can argue he’s played 100 games and we know exactly what we’ve got. Getting past Free Agency possibly saves us a bucket load along with that. At the right price it could be ok.
