Dixon needs to look at what the Crows have down with Darcy Fogarty (of all people).

His coach Rahilly told him to stop wrestling and start leading and it has paid dividends.

He will get more clean ball, more frees, less 3 on one's and will open up space for Georgiades and Marshall.

Obviously cheating if they have that sort of intel in less than 10 years

Jasper Pittard on maybe our second most infamous loss

Went to the museum at the club today, pretty impressive. There is too much of the last 15 years of so considering we've done two fifths of **** all, also had no idea the trophy you get for finishing first on the ladder is a physical thing, very uninspiring looking thing.

Up there with 18 year old Dew taking the kick in against Brisbane 20 odd years ago.
Right in front of me dare I say :(

I attended consecutive draws at the Gabba in 97/98. When Drew was taking that kick-in in 98 my brother who was sitting next to me said something to the effect that at least it won't be another draw.

Instead of kicking it 70m away from the scoring zone didn't he go for dinky short passes both times?

The McClelland Trophy? Is it still a plaque with the guy’s head on it like the first three (which used to be on the wall in the old Megastore way back when)?

Senior player and stand-in captain that day Troy Chaplin was too gutless to take that kick-in, leaving a 5th gamer to do it.

I couldn’t make it that day, and was left pacing the lounge room as the trainwreck unfolded.

What always stuck in my head was when Ablett Jnr broke free from a centre bounce and strolled in to start the avalanche late late late in Q3 when we were 40 up.

Smacked of coaching ineptitude and/or a lack of leadership. How do you not have anyone on the back of the contest, let alone the centre square, that late in the quarter?

Dom was absent with his fractured leg suffered against West Coast, so there was something of a brain drain in-and-under, but someone had to take the initiative and shut the gate.

I was there! When I woke up the next morning I had the Gold Coast theme song playing in my head, then it was a very, very long drive back to Melbourne the next day.

I think I knew we were gone the moment I saw Gary Ablett streaming forward in that last quarter avalanche and I looked up to see who was in front of him and it was only Pittard and O'Shea he had to get past.

Dean Brogan was also a late withdrawal before the game too.

My memory is fading but I recall at least one being a dinky little kick straight to a Brions player, may have been SHart.

In fairness, how could you expect our meagre coaching panel at the time to measure up to the brilliant mind of Ken Hinkley in the opposing box?

I was there and had the perfect view of Hoff’s miss on a glorious sunny day.

I should have left then and never come back 😂😂.

Happened right in front of me too.

Imagine if you'd said it'd be July 2022 and we still wouldn't have lost to the SUNS again.

It's now the longest winning streak of one club over another in the league. Every team has beaten every other team at least once since that fateful afternoon, except Gold Coast haven't beaten Port.

Sadly I was there for both games as well!!

Champion Data stats show Port Adelaide:
17th in #AFL for points scored in Q4
■ Last for accuracy in Q4
Accuracy, scoring falls away after 3/4 time
■ Power is 2-5 in games decided by 2 goals or fewer. 5-0 last year.
Bring on the other quarters, please.

Before the G.C game I was in the west lakes pub before the game when KG walked in.
He sat by himself having a punt.
We left and only just made the first bounce kg wasn't going anywhere.
The next WK he done an absolute hatchet job on the club to the effects we should of never been given a license.
The w***er didn't even go to the game would of just watched out off the corner of his eye while having a punt.
I was there before another game when Dani Ladley was there and only just left before the game started and was an assistant coach 🤬
