Liam Jurrah facing 4 extra charges

yep, being brought to justice, its a damn shame half the west coast team of 2006 didnt get the same.....

How many people did we allegedly attack with a machete though?

Considering we don't know anything about the assaults besides the fact that he was carrying a weapon, surely there is no legitimate worth in beginning an Anglo-Aboriginal debate and this should be merged with Rumours thread. I'm all for debating myself, but after the way the last one went - I don't imagine there is enough evidence for an educated discussion.

Is it really a rumour if he's been officially charged though?

Hope for Jurrah's sake he can beat the charges or at least get a plea bargain to reduce a sentence if he is convicted

There's nothing false about him charged with two very serious charges and another four related to assaults of four different people while under an influence of alcohol.

Having your head in the sand won't help Jurrah, in fact it looks like nothing will.

Yes we do know the charges, despite you refusing to acknowledge them.
Unlawfully causing serious harm, being armed with an offensive weapon at night and now another fresh 4 charges of aggravated assault. Lucky not to be charged with attempted manslaugher.

The fact he's been selected to play this weekend reflects very poorly on your club.

Are you above the courts to be making assumptions, were you there? Aggravated assault is a very loose term, as is the fact that we don't know the real story from that night.

One thing is for sure, the club does and they would have made a decision based on that.

Your choice to make assumptions, whatever.

Because the victim of the machete attack had a whopping 6 stitches? The victim claimed Jurrah assaulted him after the two sides of the family have had a large feud for the last 2 years.

Do you know the full story? I thought in Australia you are innocent until proven guilty?

Everyone close to Jurrah has commented the best way for him to move forward is through playing football. He has played for Casey and played well enough to earn senior selection.

Can posters as blatantly ignorant as the one above please refrain from posting in this thread.

I'm not interested in reading your deflective waffle, you said we weren't aware of the charges and I spelled them out for you.

Like I've mentioned earlier, there's nothing suggestive or assumptive about those charges. The fact he's been slapped with four new ones just reinforces the dire situation he's in.

Your choice to refuse to acknowledge reality, of course.
