I think it’s a straight swap. They are getting a 10 year A Grade WA tall forward. With Allen hitting his straps and Waterman serviceable they will have their tall forwards sorted and you built teams by sorting your talls first. Otherwise you’re like us, scrambling for a tall back with an age profile a few years older than your mids so they peak at the same time.

They still get Harley Reid. Reid and Georgiades is a magnificent rebuild start.

Best hope is if they threw in one of the older players for salary cap relief.

The West Coast fans still talk about how we screwed them over with the Ebert trade in 2011. But what choice did we have? We weren't going to give them pick 6 after we won 3 games, nor were we going to part with any of the handful of pieces we had to build around. This is a similar scenario.

Way it works, we won’t receive the true value of Mitch or Miles but will still get something solid in return. I’ll be devo if either leave and hope that their reluctance to sign is due to the delay in the EBA.
