At the next election the AEC is really going to have to drill it into their staff that they need to tell people to vote for at least six above or twelve below in the Senate. I suspect there's going to be a lot of exhausted ballots this time around.
I voted 14 above the line.

Hopefully that doesn't exhaust.

They said 6 above the line or at least 12 below the line at my polling place.

Missing the crucial words 'at least'.
Yeah I know but I didn't want to question her openly, they were very busy, long lines, only had 3 people checking the rolls and not enough voting booths. I figured close enough. My preference was going to stall at a major before by 6 so I didn't really care, plus I'd been waiting in line for at least 1/2 hour.

went to vote at 3pm..... place was bloody crowded.

Probably had to do with the need to number 1 - 6 for the senate clogging up the process

Think the long queues everywhere were people having to think of 6-12 in the Senate.
