He's a shocking defender and not a competitive beast that most good defenders are. As I've said he's a 3rd tall forward and 2nd ruck or bust.

Given you'd only have to use a nothing pick for Chol it would be a no brainer to trade.

I quite like him but don't see him as a long term option anywhere for North. Unless he can play kpd, which he has shown no aptitude for so far.

Hes a poor defender. When he was rucking for Nank this year oppo teams ruck dragged him to the goal square and he was outmarked quite a few times.

If anyone else takes him and plays him anywhere other than 3rd forward/2nd ruck they're wasting their time.

That is how I see him too. Xerri can play this role if we need it next year. Longer term, Jacob Edwards. Chol isn't a need for us.

I like him for ruck depth with Campbell likely being gone, but Edwards has made that less of a priority.

Not sure we are at a stage we need to recruit for ruck depth. If Goldy and Xerri both get injured and things get really desperate Josh Walker can fill in. I'd rather we developed someone with a chance of becoming a genuine No.1 ruck.

He's an unrestricted free agent. If someone makes him a decent offer he'd be mad not to take it. If a trade had to be done for whatever reason then it'd be for a token pick or late upgrade.

The 4th year rookie concession next year means Campbell might get a lifeline.
He seems the type who would be valuable to keep around the group and would be a virtual development coach on rookie salary that isn't contributing to the soft cap. I think clubs will take this approach a little more in future as it seems to be a smart way to use both caps.

Yeah I meant if we was going to leave anyway but the other club chose to trade for him with a late pick rather than take him as a free agent. If it were to cancel out their compo for a departing free agent.
