Saints look pretty good. Speed everywhere. Hitting targets. Cool in congestion.

The young lads in particular. Wilson is ready made. Henry is ready made. Garcia is a real surprise packet.

The only downside was Windhager. Could be a broken hand. A bloke on Twitter wrote that he was sitting next to Windhager at Holmesglen Radiology and that’s what he was told.

Quick recap.

Evident it was our first genuine hit out. Plenty to work on with missed tackles frustrating fumbles and dropped sodas - but that should sort itself out with games. We got a hell of alot better as it went on.

Area that concerned me most was the centre clearances. Beaten and at times it looked easy.

The good stuff. No one dominated that for us. It was genuinely a team effort across every line. But we look really good with Bonner and Nas at half back and Henry forward of the centre.

The moment we get a chance to run. We hurt sides.

King Membrey and Sharman. Oh my

Wilson and Garcia looked the part. The wheels on Wilson are unreal. The third quarter mark, handball away and then runs ahead of the bloke he gave the ball to for the handball return. Garcia looked very clean and quick. Liked the look in proper match sim.

We will genuinely feel aggravated at blokes missing games on Thursday nights. Butler Crouch Sinclair and Windhager effectively didn’t play.

King out of all the young forwards does have the highest ceiling.

One day it will click for him over a year and he will kick 100 goals.

He has the potential to get the real big bags of goals
