Yes, morphing into this guy.

I reckon that was Pappagallo handiwork.

In 1994 Partland wrote after the Eagles beat Port at Woodville Oval that they might as well send the TS Hill Cup to Oval Avenue now, nobody can even come close to the Eagles.

In 1995 he was reporting on women's lacrosse.
I can remember back to the 80's when he was the staff writer for local rugby league.
His write ups of the Adelaide Jets v Mobilong Prison blockbusters was something to behold.

I have it on very good authority a specially built display cabinet had already been mounted on a wall at AO of all places.
gives them somewhere to put their wooden spoon then

Glenelg paid 25k in transfer for Turner to West

They get 10k if he is drafted

That is ridiculous, but the answer is to the lower the transfer

Remember that time Glenelg refused to play Steven Salopek in their firsts — a Victorian draftee in his tenth season with Port Adelaide (AFL) — but demanded a five-figure transfer fee to send him to the perennially lowly Maggies?

The SANFL and its apologists remind me of the ‘Boer Separatists’ episode of Louis Theroux’s Weird Weekends. The future’s here, you idiots.

It's the way everyone wore their collars when he was about 20. You mean you don't still dress like you did when you were 20?

Never mind Gnewg - you'll probably get Will Gould back for free next year.

Interesting. AFL 360 on Tuesday night. The guys were talking about Essendon and their "review". The subject of their public ambition to win a premiership in 3 years time came up. They had the following (and more) to say in criticism.

Robbo "I don't mind teams having aspirations - we're all trying to win flags - but you put a time frame on it, you have to live to the time frame."
Gerrard "Yup, Yup"

Meanwhile Port Adelaide are "Chasing Greatness"....

yeah but but but.. after round 5 we were bottom at 0-5

if you isolate the last 6 weeks we are top of the ladder

You just know that the club and the media will lap this shit up, even though in the last 6 weeks we have beaten the 2 bottom teams and a team that has won just 1 game. The 2 we won against "good" sides were against the bulldogs without their best player and without their entire backline, and against the saints in that ridiculous slogfest where they played even worse than we did... and we were bad!

We lost easily against a team that could qualify for masters

But hey... season recovery!!!!!!!!

lol, turned it around from going down the toilet to clinging to the bowl like an amorphous brown stain.

Haha. Read how Port and the wonderful ken hinkley have turned it alllllll around people. How we started off not being in the top 8 and how we're still not in the top 8 at the bye, after being in a prelim last year. What a riveting read.

A better ran club.

Why didn’t we think of starting our club in what turned out to be the most marginal Federal, State and Municipal electorates in the country, Ford?

Pretty silly stuff by Captain Hart when you think about it.

No foresight. 😋

I would blame the liberals of Port Adelaide’s district. They are supposed to find a way of adapting the party’s agenda to address their constituents’ concerns in a way they can understand.

Their task is to get votes. If they aren’t getting those, the issue is not the electorate. It’s them.

But it’s a bad agenda, GP!

It doesn’t matter. Their task remains the same. Run against (some of) the party agenda, if they must.

The same must be said of Labour on Liberal safe seats. Electoral politics is a result-based industry. If you are losing, you are wrong.

Of course, one may be wrong while winning. However, that’s another matter. The point here is that if you are losing, you are definitely wrong.
