Nah, as long as one of these reserves teams wins a flag, who cares if the dreams of a young footballer getting the chance to be on an AFL list are dashed.

Surjan is excited for the opportunities available to Bauer as the AFL Mid-Season Draft looms.
"I’m going to be very excited if Jacob is potentially the first development kid drafted through the mid-season draft from North Adelaide," he said.
"Part of our job is obviously to win premierships at our club, but we still know that we’re a feeder competition to the AFL and we need to try to develop kids to try and get into the AFL as quickly as possible.
Pies, Bombers among six clubs reportedly interested in athletic SANFL forward
I feel like that photo is begging for an Alyx makeover over accentuating the collar.
A shrunken head?I have a mild recollection that this was done once before.
A shrunken head?
Has Warren Partland been given the boot? Feels like a story tailor made for him.
Haha I knew the thought must have been coming from somewhere.Yes.

I've had this one saved for ages - the surliness sums him up much better than the ones of him actually cracking a smile:

Still my favourite SANFL premiership. I also believe that the Eagles pre printed their premiership T shirts, and had the premiership celebrations ready to go. Unfortunately for them, Timmy and the boys failed to read the script. In 1994 Partland wrote after the Eagles beat Port at Woodville Oval that they might as well send the TS Hill Cup to Oval Avenue now, nobody can even come close to the Eagles.
In 1995 he was reporting on women's lacrosse.

Yes, morphing into this guy.
It's the way everyone wore their collars when he was about 20. You mean you don't still dress like you did when you were 20?The way he wears those shirts does my head in. He just doesn’t understand what a collar is and how it should sit. It’s also way too large for him.
We had three Eagle supporters in front of us in that match. They started celebrating in the first quarter with their newly printed tee shirts. As the match went on they became much quieter and tried to leave the game halfway during the last quarter.Still my favourite SANFL premiership. Kinda reminds me of the Crows in 2017 - Tex with the seat next to him for the premiership cup, and the 30,000 pre printed premiership water bottles for the family day.
