Aren't we like 4 wins, 2 losses in first finals under hinkley?

We are 2-2 since 2015. If a 50% record is “trouble”, then maybe we are. But, is it?

Hinkley’s first Finals: WW—L—WW-L

He also said on Monday we can't go all the way with Dixon in the side and that he would play Marshall.

You really wonder if they pay any attention to what goes on west of Horsham.

Spoiler: they don't.

That was what made the commentary in the game against Freo so refreshing. While Pav clearly wanted Freo to win, both he and Schofield had clearly watched us play through the season. They were not just repeating canned phrases, like the Victorian-based commentators.

While there is plenty to dislike about Ricciuto commentating on our games, at least he knows our players, at least in a 'know your enemy' way.

We've lost 1 first final as the higher ranked side (2017 Elim Final), and won 1 first final as the lower ranked side (2013 Elim Final). We've lost one first final as the lower ranked side.

The reality is Brown has been hit on the head too many times and has no idea what he's talking about.

Everyone is beatable, I see big flaws in every team
100% agree. One of the most open finals I can remember. Sydney's early season form is irrelevant after their second half, and all the others are hot & cold. Port & Hawthorn have the best form form entering the finals, but that also is moot.

Lol no bias in that lot

Haha. Love that Campbell Brown and Cameron Ling — two of the more vocal Hinkley apologists — have their old clubs cashing in at our expense, directly and indirectly.

God, just loving how hard Ch 7 going at Port Adelaide tonight.
They can’t contain their glee, it’s just hilarious to watch.

Also loving that they don’t dare go at their own beloved Crows like this. Let them live in bottom 4 land for a few more years, with no scrutiny.

Slobbo flip-flops more than a building full of ENIACs. Recently giving Port fans a bunch of crap, and giving Hinkley a leave pass. And yet .....

Mark Robinson: Port consigned to week of ridicule after 84-point loss to Geelong

It was Port Adelaide’s biggest game of the year, and they choked, writes Mark Robinson. And with either the Bulldogs or Hawks waiting, it’s going to be a long week for Ken Hinkley.

AFL: the Geelong Cats have dominated Port Adelaide, progressing to the preliminary finals.
A choke on the most important night of the year for Port Adelaide has consigned coach Ken Hinkley and his team to a week of ridicule and fearmongering.

The ridicule is deserved.

A hammering of this magnitude at home in a qualifying final – it was by 84 points – cannot be dismissed as unfortunate or unlucky.

The fearmongering will centre on Hinkley’s future.

A loss next weekend would mean a second consecutive straight-sets departure from September and, if that happened, it remains to be seen if the Port powerbrokers would deem it ultimately unfortunate for Hinkley.
That’s high-stakes finals footy and its fallout.
As Hinkley ponders what happened on a horrid night, and begins the process to re-group, Geelong coach Chris Scott can take in his stride one of his team’s most commanding finals wins.

Yes, consecutive straight-sets exits would indeed be ... unfortunate for Hinkley.

We lost a home final by 84 points, we deserve everything we get and if anything, I don’t think the media has gone hard enough. We should welcome the scrutiny.

I agree 100% the tools involved at our club need to be held to account. However that dickhead Tarzia should just keep his mouth shut. His mob haven’t played finals for seven years, have a shit culture and are not liked throughout the AFL. Maybe clean up your backyard first dickhead.
