Why you think they used rubber bullets?Does Australia have a right to protest?

I don't.Of course you'd support people who throw vomit and faeces at law enforcement purely there to ensure the crowd doesn't get out of control.
They didn't use rubber bullets on the covid clowns punching horses. Why you think they used rubber bullets?
Sounds about right.I found channel 9 footage where they said protesters assaulted a busker
And the footage showed the busker assaulting protesters and then the cops jumping on protesters
I'm gullible?I don't.
Of course you would support corporations drumming up buyers for weapons of destruction.
You're a bit gullible and easily convinced.
Here you go picking one incident to justify the ridiculous expo.I'm gullible?
Hilarious.
People have the right to protest, they don't have the right to throw faeces and vomit over police.
It doesn't take any particular high level of IQ to realise this.
I'm not justifying the expo. Here you go picking one incident to justify the ridiculous expo.
Ok, when there's an expo for something you support and a crowd blocks it, who is then forcefully cleared by the police, will you still condemn the cops?Cops are anti protest as **** in this country as are our governments
They were blockading the event and the cops decided to clear a path
This of course involves violence
Resisting being cleared is portrayed by the media as violence
Cops and media will always say the protesters started rhe violence and talk about how many cops were injured
Won't mention what really happened or how many protesters the cops injured
This is standard in Australia US UK etc with how protest are covered
So you're against the expo?I'm not justifying the expo.
And it was hardly 'one' incident.
People on this board simply must take every comment out of context to support their strawman.
Always good for a laugh, I guess.
YesOk, when there's an expo for something you support and a crowd blocks it, who is then forcefully cleared by the police, will you still condemn the cops?
Protestors don't protest furniture or kitchen appliance expos.Ok, when there's an expo for something you support and a crowd blocks it, who is then forcefully cleared by the police, will you still condemn the cops?
I don't even know what the expo is, just saw vision of people throwing vomit and faeces at not jus the police but journalists covering the event. So you're against the expo?
Fair enough but while people have a right to protest in this country, they don't have a right to block others from accessing a space they are legally allowed to enter, which these people were doing.Yes
I condemned them in 2020 for their actions against the anti lockdown protests
I think those people were absolute idiots but go look and you won't see me cheering the cops on
FirstlyFair enough but while people have a right to protest in this country, they don't have a right to block others from accessing a space they are legally allowed to enter, which these people were doing.
We have laws for a reason, otherwise any nuffy could just block anybody else from something they don't like and call it a 'protest'.
Whilst I can agree that the protest cause is noble, coming with bags full of vomit and faeces means you came prepared for a fight.Firstly
No we don't have an actual right to protest
Secondly
There's no actual protest if there's no impact
Sitting in a park not stopping people get into the weapons expo achieves nothing
**** those people they profit off the murder of children
Make their lives uncomfortable
You can tell by the cops response where the state is most worried
Getting in the way of profiting off war and fossil fuels gets the biggest response generally
This is a very good argument, it doesn't need to be a show. I bet there are some nice.parties as well. Government should just work out what they want and call for tenders.Ridiculous response. There shouldn't be an bells and whistles expo complete with light show, music and unveilings for weapons designed to kill.
It shouldn't be open to the public to jack off over either.
Letting private companies spruik their weapons like that is sick.
Why tf is there an expo anyway.
The army can inspect weapons to buy anytime.
The arms companies want more wars so they can make more profit.
Cops used flash bangs tear gas rubber bullets batons etcWhilst I can agree that the protest cause is noble, coming with bags full of vomit and faeces means you came prepared for a fight.
Protesting against violence by being violent yourself isn't going to garner much sympathy.
Gee, cops were armed with anti-riot gear.Cops used flash bangs tear gas rubber bullets batons etc
Cops always come prepared for and looking for a fight
The government spent 15m making sure they were ready to sink the boot in
Those people weren't there looking for sympathy though
They were there to disrupt the expo and the cops were there to crack skulls
Protesters rocking up in balaclavas with projectiles weren't looking for a fight? How should the police be armed? With hugs and kind words to defend themselves?Cops used flash bangs tear gas rubber bullets batons etc

Probably should've just let them in to smash up the expo instead, I'm sure.Protesters rocking up in balaclavas with projectiles weren't looking for a fight? How should the police be armed? With hugs and kind words?
