Melbourne: what do we make of them

We are playing our worst football, you’re getting us at a good time when we’re out of form. Would be embarrassing for Richmond to lose this one
But being the underdog, we have a free shot. Hopefully we can take it up to Melbourne and at least give them a contest.

Reminds me of Richmond 2017 5-0 start where no one rated us to that point either.
They look a very good team so far, some impressive performances but also just getting the key 4 points this early in the year.

Really looking forward to the game next week to see where both teams are at, at this point of the season.

Melbourne fans do you the Club will be tempted to bring in one of Ben Brown or Sam Weideman come?

Wide kicked 7 in the two’s and Browne 4. Both might be in contention. We can’t go too tall as Tmac and Jackson are doing great too. So idk.

Underdogs how? We are flat track bullies. Unless you’re saying Richmond aren’t a good side?

Think one does. Both probably too unsettling.

May and Fritsch available too apparently- former is automatically in and latter is pretty damn good too. Great problem to have.

Must admit took me a long time to really rate Richmond that year and I totally get why opposition supporters don't rate us either, and to be honest I'm not completely convinced myself. We've probably had an easy-ish run however it's not who we play but the way we are playing. Our backline is the best I've seen in years maybe ever, our midfield finally starting to look balanced. We've always had good ball winners but have been getting killed on the outside but I think we've really rectified this problem this year. Our forward pressure is up the only chink in our armour is our forward line. Today our connection was really poor hopefully Ben Brown and Weid can fix this. 5-0 is a great start but there's a long way to go, I'm just finding that this is the most I've trusted this team in a long time. I'm actually looking forward to this game to see how we go against the best team in the comp for the past 4 years. It's unfortunate that we won't get to see May vs Lynch.

You can thank Clarko for that shit half

Rather ironically, the win that brought up their first 5-0 start in however many yonks would also probably have been the most frustrating to watch this year?

Fair credit for responding late but even as a non Dees supporter I was angry at the wasted chances and poor use inside 50.

Bring Weids in for the Tiges and I think it'll help. Don't think they'll get a chance to go 7.10 at 3/4 time and be leading though. If they can calm down after winning the clearance and not bomb it to Balta they should be right in it.
