At the Platinum and Foundation Members function at Springfield tonight we were told membership has now passed 47k.

Blows my mind a bit TBH, in a good way
50k not out of the question

You may have been told something different to me, given we were split into different groups, but the graphic they put up on the screen was just short of 47k and they said they'd just topped 47k that day.
It may be my old fella memory as I recalled it as just short of 48k on the screen. Bloody good either way. Must be another BF person there who can solve this dispute ;)

What’s the point of 50k members if we are getting 25k or less v GC or Freo? Sounds like this membership count is 50% 3 gamers and we rely on Vic club expats still.

The thing about membership tallies these days is: they include all forms of membership, including 3-game tickets. When you're selecting your games to attend, Gold Coast and Freo are not big-ticket attractive options.

So while a lot of the extra people who turn up for Collingwood and Richmond games are those that support the other side, a not insignificant number of others are paid Brisbane members.

I've no idea what the breakdown of our memberships is, but they all provide income for our club and are welcomed. The task for the club is to convert them into full memberships in the future; not easy in the current economic circumstances - there's a lot of belt-tightening going on.

My Kayo free trial ran out yesterday and it is now $25 per month for the cheapest (1 screen) option, although if you buy a Lions digital membership @ $230 per year you get 1 year free Kayo membership with that offer.

I'd like to ask anyone who has done this and before I click the purchase now button... I am wondering if there is some sort of catch to this offer? I wouldn't expect there to be this sort of loophole.

Also reading what is included in the Lions digital membership it's basically a whole lot of nothing, ie. a virtual membership.

I looked at it too and asked similar questions a couple of pages ago - basically it is what it says. It's a discounted Kayo subscription, presumably organised through some of the Fox-related deals in the TV contract maybe? Just about every club offers one. I didn't sign up myself because my electricity provider offers a bundle for a year, but if you're sold on Kayo like I am the club deal is pretty good.

What is a 5s?

For some reason the club’s graphic designers use an upside down 2 instead of the number 5 in all our promotional material.

Once you see it you can’t unsee it.

The good news for you is that we got 25500 against Freo on a Saturday afternoon.

Any other Victorian Traditional members know about getting guest passes to games in Melbourne?

Last year they gave out 2 x free guest passes to the saints game at Marvel (might have been for those who also had September member add on). Wondering if it'll happen again. Specifically for next week's game against the Hawks, as they're a lower side.

Anyone have any luck contacting the club, or know the policy around these passes for Vic members?
