Where will they go? Does it matter? No Crows to the Magpies I believe.

Graham will be the 1st pick in the draft
Well, he is a superstar after all.

Hard to tell where many of those Port pick ups will go, given many will feature prominently in the 22 throughout the season. Wines, Clurey and Stevenson should all get early games (as will Hombsch). Our players will go more or less in the order of the OP, though Hartigan's experience should see him go before basketballers.

Wines will go to Port with their pick 3, part of the OneClub bargain.

Graham will go to Sturt because he's decent at VFL level, not very likely to get an AFL game, Jenkins is likely to play for the Crows more than the Double Blues this year, and Grundy is off and away to Collingwood.

Most of our ins will go at the end, guys like Hartigan, Klaosen and Osborn are most likely to be in the SANFL reserves all season, at least some of those Port draftees will be worth playing SANFL seniors when they aren't being rotated through that rabble.

Club order was from the SANFL site. Not sure where West Adelaide have gone. Are they excluded for salary cap breaches or just a typo?

Hang on. We're being told Hartigan is AFL ready but he's now playing reserves all year?

Excluded for the breaches. Brother was bitching about it earlier. They're not even allowed to go interstate head hunting I don't think, limited to their zone only.

Graham for Sturt at pick #1 is like a free interstate headhunt, can't see them turning that opportunity down.
Didn't Port also breach.

What the hell I'll have a ping at them before it happens this morning

SANFL Mini Draft
1. Sturt - Angus Graham
2. South Adelaide - Lewis Stevenson
3. Port Adelaide - Ollie Wines
4. Glenelg - Mason Shaw
5. Eagles - Tom Clurey
6. Central District - Kyle Hartigan
7. North Adelaide - Campbell Heath
8. Norwood - Sam Siggins
9. Sturt - Kane Mitchell
10. South Adelaide - Rory Atkins
11. Port Adelaide - Jake Nead
12. Glenelg - Tim Kloosen
13. Eagles - Jack Osborn

Mitchell might go in the top 5 just on State League form alone though, Siggins and Hartigan maybe earlier as well to the Bays who are lacking serious Key Position depth.

Yep!!
Have Sturt decided to use their 1st pick?
Reported to have committed to Angus Graham. The Double Crows in all but name, and still their best chance of survival given their dire financial woes.

Mini-draft can be a funny one, clubs have realised that they can't just grab the most talented players, as there's a good chance they won't see them at all. Instead guys who were drafted as mature back ups will likely go early, as they are a good chance of playing the majority of their footy at SANFL level and will be ready to step up to SANFL League straight away.

The one big shock I think might be Norwood, ruck has been identified as probably their only big weakness, I wonder whether they might take a punt on the giant Osborn.

Worth noting I know jack squat about Port's recruits, so placement of their players is based off a very brief bit of research.

SANFL Mini Draft
1. Sturt - Angus Graham (Ruckman with a number of years AFL experience, unlikely to play AFL)
2. South Adelaide - Kyle Hartigan (Supposedly in the top 3 KPD in VFL, recruited as backup, unlikely to play much AFL unless Talia or Rutten go down)
3. Port Adelaide - Ollie Wines ("one club" will pick their star recruit)
4. Glenelg - Sam Siggins (Tend to only pick Crows listed players, Siggins is a couple of years off AFL, but has played Senior footy in Tassy so they might go for him here)
5. Eagles - Kane Mitchell (Won the Sandover last year, will go high)
6. Central District - Lewis Stevenson (Strong running half back, Centrals would be keen IMO)
7. North Adelaide - Mason Shaw (Highly rated KPF with senior experience in the WAFL
8. Norwood - Jack Osborn (205cm beast, Norwood aren't exactly blessed with quality rucks, might give him a shot)
9. Sturt - Campbell Heath (Running defender who could play KPD in SANFL)
10. South Adelaide - Tom Clurey (Young KPD, will be able to give him great opportunities)
11. Port Adelaide - Jake Nead ("one club" will love him)
12. Glenelg - Rory Atkins (Will be rapt to grab him here)
13. Eagles - Tim Klaosen (Stick insect with minimal AFL experience, is a long term prospect)
