No it has to end on the last day of trade period after that, he still a Crow.
Live trading only picks not players.
not too sure on the Gold Coast and Carlton Mature state league draft but it would be held before the national draft.
Then the mature Draft can't be factored into the McGovern Trade .....only "Live" trading can then be used for mature GC/Carlton draftees

I'll stand to be corrected though on dates & process

to who ??? MM doubt that
That's the word on SEN this morning in the trade round table chat ......and of course we have to believe everything the media says .....that's the same source as most of the Crows Bashing that's occurred in this thread

Why would you want him if he is that bad ?
I'm sorry, since when was I the embodiment of the Carlton Football Club?

They make their own calls. I can see why they're thinking he might be useful as a third tall working with McKay and Curnow. I think the price is wrong, but you can only recruit what available. Mitch is coming to Victoria and he wants to come to us. Not many others are putting their hand up to do the same so here we are.

Pick 24 and 25 from Carlton to Sydney for pick 12

Pick 12 (Carlton) and pick 15 (Adelaide) to Fremantle for pick 6

Pick 6 to Adelaide for McGovern

Pick 12 and 15 to Melbourne for Jessie Hogan to Fremantle

Pick 8 and 19 (back to Sydney for Hannebery) to St Kilda for pick 4

Adelaide get: Pick 4 & Pick 6
Lose: McGovern and 8 and 15

Carlton get: McGovern
Lose: 24 and 25 (which turns in pick 12)

Fremantle get: Hogan
Lose: pick 6

Melbourne get: pick 12 and 15
Lose: Hogan

St Kilda get: Hannebery and pick 8
Lose: pick 4

Sydney get: Pick 19, 24 and 25
Lose: Hannebery and pick 12

Thats fine from me - but its up to SOS the Boss. No chance Melbourne will accept anything less than Pick 6 for Hogan.

You don't follow footy that hard do you ? ......front bar supporter I'm guessing

He was rushed back after 10 weeks out ....was determined the club had erred in rushing him back, as he wasn't match fit & in touch .....that's very different from being dropped
So the excuse for dropping him is that he's injury prone and heals slowly?

Well that boosts his value.

You really should because he is the Director of our List management group. Like Judd is to Carlton
Along with Ried, Ogilvie and Pyke, Who have all stated the Adelaide will not let McGovern Go unless it benefits Adelaide.
That group is like Judd, SOS, Brodie and Bolton.
Appreciate the heads up as I wasn’t aware of him in that list management role.

Your talking him down saying he is injury prone 3rd tall etc , Fact remains Carlton have chased him and want him and will be paying him good coin

Your comment of mitch is coming to victoria and wants to come to us - Because Carlton have blown sweet nothings in his ear and convinced him its not as if he has plucked you out without any meetings or agreements.

What mitch wants is dependant on if the crows agree to this and its not like they have to agree to it, Carlton have to get this deal done not Adelaide

I would doubt that very much,Richmond would have no interest in McGovern

Thing is Carlton Don't just want him for a Forward Role, they want a Rance or Big Brother type player. And he will be very good in that loose tall defender role.

Well, you're the guys chasing him  .....bashing him, even B4 you've put a Guernsey on him ....strange

Doesnt matter why they want him, Clubs have an idea of their players worth and value and a contracted player that needs the permission of his current club to move needs to be satisfied and think it will. Wont be #15 or #25 but somewhere around the #20 area and will get done

They need points for Nick Blakey thats touted to be a top 5 pick.
Don't forget Sydney will get a pick for Hannebery ......and they're chasing Moore .....so Syd would be in need of more picks / points

But so are Saints !!!

Why the hell would we want a loose tall? Plus he's 190cm. That's not tall.

If we wanted that Sam Collins is in the VFL. If anything we need a shut down defender so we can delist Rowe.

Don't know the word out from the list management team is closer to pick 10 than 20, 2 years left contracted changes a players value somewhat and he still not a free agent after that.

Hopefully this trade gets done early. I dont think either club will want to waste time on it.

Also unlike the gibbs deal last year everyone knows they need to work on a deal for this.
