Wow the Geelong salt in this thread is laughable. They've turned their stadium redevelopment thread into a Collingwood bashing thread :D Here are some examples.

"
Are we finally allowed to make the road to the GF come through Kardinia Park?

While the commentary has been nauseating for much of the last 20 years, you could at least see the argument.

The stadium was a little small, run down, and then eventually under construction.

Now though, it's a world class complex. On par with the likes of Stamford Bridge, Old Trafford and alike in the EPL, and many of the stadiums across the NFL in the US.

What's it going to take? We're only a 'Melbourne Club' when it suits the AFL, and it's created a fixture that you couldn't possibly justify in any other sport worldwide.

So what if Collingwood fans miss out. If our club has earned the right of home field over a grueling winter, then we decide where the game is played. It's how it works everywhere else in the world.

You want to win the premiership? You're going to have to beat us at home. Our real home. That's how it's works.

Imagine telling a European or Yank that their club had earned home field, but had to play the game at the oppositions home stadium.

It just makes our competition look bush league in comparison, when it shouldn't because our sport has done so much right to stack up against its international contemporaries."

News - GMHBA Stadium Stage 5 Redevelopment onwards is a laugh
It’s literally only their idiot fans that want this, and maybe their stupid coach. The players themselves for the most part want to be acclimated to the MCG during finals because that’s where the GF is played if they make it.

I wonder how they would react if this "home field" concept actually came about.

Which means, when they play the MCG, they only get allocated the same amount of tickets oppo fans do when they play at Kardinia park. 2k? and only in a single pocket / bay?

Of course that would also need to include MCC tickets, as there is no such supporter neutral concept at the cats ground.

Bet that would actually change their minds pretty quickly....

Thought they’d be more concerned with how they’ll win enough games to merit any finals let alone home finals.

All those millions spent on the shit hole and it’s still shaped like a kidney bean

How fun is it going onto other team's boards and reading their GF game day threads and just feeling the emotional anger from the words typed. It makes the day go by so much better... Richmonds is funny as hell.
LOL - I can't post in that thread as I'm reading it now. Too many LOL emoji's from me.

Went on the Richmond thread out of curiosity. A few notes:

- Around 80% of their posters seem incapable of using punctuation and capital letters.

- They all genuinely believe the 17-20 Tigers were about 10x better than any other team in the comp currently.

- They all have a completely irrational hatred of Daicos. And believe the umpires and the league conspired to gift us a flag.

And then there was this pearler, about a game widely regarded as one of if not the best grand finals of the modern era:

The game was like a s**t home and away game, not a grandfinal. Both teams dogshit

There’s some really special units on that board… 🤦🏼

Why are they so bitter? You'd think you would be happy, content, satisfied about seeing your team win 3 flags in 4 years.

It’s weird. Being in the wilderness and basically the laughing stock of the comp for over 30 years has twisted them in strange, irreversible ways. Even 3 flags in 4 years can’t cure their paranoia over everyone being “out to get them”.

The Richmond oppo supporters thread is some of the funniest shit you’ll read on the internet, their salt level is extreme!

Just tell them the new CEO is a diehard Tiger so everything should work out for them from now on.
