It’s now a lot more difficult to sack contracted coaches due to the soft cap.
Interesting - hadnt thought of that before.

Teams like eagles, collingwood etc wont give a shit and will just pay up - saints, dogs etc will have to think long and hard

To the op: I thought once the afl bought in 6/6/6 that if ross lyon doesnt reinvent himself hes a goner this year

Nothing i saw in the jlt suggested he has

Richo is in trouble.

Saints constantly bombing into 50. Not sustainable.

I reckon Richo and Bolton are in danger.
Bolton no chance. He’s finally got a side ready to push up the ladder he will get time. I’d be more worried about Hinkley if you lose at home Saturday.

The noose would be tightening around Richo's neck if today is anything to go by.

Played what is quite likely the worst team in the comp and very easily our easiest looking game in the first 9 rounds, yet only just scraped over the line, at home.

That said, he's not exactly been helped by losing our two best down back, in Carlisle and Roberton, in particular.

That (and Brown's suspension) resulted in 3 of our back 7 today (including the two key defensive posts) having just 8 or so games experience between them, which is not exactly ideal!

Ports got some good kids, if he keeps playing them and they develop, that might save Hinkley.

Agree

But I feel Ken doesn’t know the difference between selecting the best players and the best team.

JLT is dangerous form to go off.
Fremantle look to have reinvented themselves over the off season.
Doubt he'd be the first coach sacked this year.

Who's at fault then?

Dodoro?

Can’t disagree, had 9 yrs with more or less a 50/50 record, supposedly recruited very well and out in a pitiful performance like that. I’m done
