Nah, Daicos has taken us from 17th to a PF and a Premiership in 2 years.

Daicos by the length of the Flemington straight

To be fair Jaicos played really well last year. Almost as important as Naicos for you guys.

Not really a one man performance which has made the team what it is. Conveniently enough it seems that they are not doing as well this year.

One thing I’ve never noticed (prior to today) that he does, that I think is probably underrated is his ability to disrupt the anchor

One passage he had collected a crumb infront of their deepest, (Stringer), disposed of it then ran Stringer into dead space (as he threatened to get the ball back)

So he took their anchor to dead space, cooked him with his superior run and protected the impact of any potential turnover as the Dons were without their KPF in position

Going to look for this more often from him, just a very smart use of the player and honestly pretty selfless running

Very good young player, but how cringe worthy sticking your finger up as soon as you kick for goal

Even Mihocek gave him a clip for it
not as bad as throwing his head back every time he gets tackled ....mind you what an ace haircut very sharp

Is this where Fadge and his chronies come back and let's us all know that he WOULD have won the Anzac medal if not for being on the bench for an extra 3 minutes or so
You got the delusional Pies fans like Fadge and Jock (enjoy your day off lol)

Then you’ve got your reasonable Pies fan who I enjoy conversing with ITT

I do however look forward to Fadges dumb opinion

Started slow but got into it

I think we look best when he's playing as far back as possible

Those clean possessions in the backline are gold

Not good enough though, prick owes me a medal

On SM-A225F using BigFooty.com mobile app
Odd, Blues fans including myself got ridiculed over saying he's best at half back

Needs to cut the diving, its s**t house

Needs to put his body over the footy and head over it more often.

He's an elite outside player but to become a true elite of the comp forget all time he needs a balanced inside and outside game..
Right now he's getting alot of outside footy and the often stated "contested" possession are the Hoyne and Ablett Jnr type of loose ball contested. Which is a fancy way of saying he started next to someone and beat them to a loose ball.

Pendles is similar in my mind he will never be Nathan Buckley's equal no matter how many Collingwood and AFL longevity records.
Buckey was dynamic inside/outside mid who was a power mid with one of the best field kicks the game has seen and a very good running goal kick.
Pendles has never been a bodyline player, focus of keeping the feet and stay outside.
Never been a great burst from packs or a goal kicking mid or even a player who can swing a game off his own boit like Bucks.

Nick is looking the pendles elite level rather then Buckley this year and until he comes to terms with the physical side will stay a rung below in most eyes.

This thread is embarrassing, never seen a player that is in a conversation of being the goat squib so much, does it every game and nobody calls him out on it, soft as butter Nick is.
Yeah Ok, Yet he consistently is up there for the most contested possessions for each game.

But hey, you see what you see.

He backs out of every contest that looks like he may get bruised, this isn’t something that’s made up, it happened again today on a few occasions and everyone can see it barr Collingwood supporters. taken a contested mark in the dying minutes today to win his team the game but he decided against it..

Ok I love Nick and still think he has the tools to be a true elite but do agree that he is soft at the contested ball and even tackling techniques are with his head back and "reaching" outwards.
Ie he doesn't body line the ball or player.

This is currently his biggest flaw, needs to get more physical in a contest.
We all know on the outside he is already absolutely elite plus.
But to be the best of the best let alone EVER but even his generation he needs to add the physical game in.

Now you WC fans are rightly happy with Reid start, he is a jet. But he too has flaws in his game they are just different and both youngsters are not the finished products.

Nick is very very similar in style and game to Ablett Jnr.

Reid closer to Judd in style.
