I've never thought Amon or Hunt as pure outside midfielders, they run up and down the wing between the 50m arcs.
Yeah, I don't think we share the same vocabulary to describe Aussie Rules. I'll just leave the conversation there I think.

It’s called a wingman
Wingmen = outside midfielders.

Those starting in the centre square, excluding ruclman = inside midfielders.

Surely it's not hard to understand.

Do you see Hunt as an outside midfielder? Do you see Amon as an outside midfielder?
Amon usually plays as wingman/an outside midfielder... but occasionally plays inside.

Hunt currently playing as a half back flanker... but can be used off a wing.

Happy to be of assistance. :)

Kelly and Gaff are outside midfielders. Amon isn't an outside midfielder, hence you used wingman/an outside midfielder :) and Hunt isn't an outside midfielder which is why you used "can be used off a wing" so an outside midfielders isn't a wingman :)

Wtf?

Kelly plays mainly as an inside midfielder.

Gaff is a hybrid - played more outside earlier in his career, but been more inside of late.

Amon is absolutely an outside midfielder wingman, who plays a bit inside.

An outside midfielder "wingman"? Must admit I haven't heard that terminology before.......

I can't spell it out any clearer for you as you are not listening!!!

I'm with George Kramer ... I feel dumber for reading your recent posts.

You used the term outside midfielder wingman....do they get paid double for playing 2 roles at once :)
I did it deliberately to point out what should be the obvious to you.

Any ways enough of this as I'm once again having 1 too many conversations with you as feel dumber for the experience.

Your obviously new to Aussie Rules. There are lots of resources you can look up that explain how the game is played and what positions are.
