Bont gets a free for a dangerous tackle. Jobe umpire's trying to get rid of those tackles. (It wasn't a dangerous)Bontempelli: Runs back as part of a 3 on 1 in his favour and spoils it through for a behind.
Commentators: SO INSPIRATIONAL OH MY WORD
Blakey: Sees a ruckman running full tilt at him, stands his ground and holds onto the ball to release the handball a second later to make sure he got the runner whilst knowing he's about to cop 2 metres of body contact
Commentators: Looks a bit sore there Blakey
Every team gets an advantage against an interstate side. I saw a poster mention Bulldogs have 80 for and 50 against free kicks #VICBIAS but didn't mention the two Vic teams the western have already played. Mind you Carlton game was 19 each.I don't like saying this but maybe all the non-Victorian teams might actually have a point of #VICBIAS! umpiring. Tonight might have just vindicated their viewpoint.
Saw this coming a mile off. Swans now conceded 27,27 and 26 shots on goal. They just aren't that good a side that was a 10 goal loss every day of the week after they got lucky against the cats.
Means alot from the tipping expert I'm just a humble grasshopperwell done m8
It's just too hard to tell atm. Round 1 Sydney vs gws has been dubbed game of the round, it was in a sense but after round 2 that game loses credibility because gws looked dog shit against the Tigers. It was free flowing but maybe it's because both teams aren't great defensively. Can probably cross swannies off as a challenger to our flag on that performance.
smh, so many times no contest when Swans kick an up and under inside their 50, got to be driving Longmire insane.
Pretty irrelevant when you can't stop the other side scoring against you.If Heeney doesn't fire, they really struggle to win games. Bit like GWS with Toby Greene. Swans haven't got a forwardline that's going to worry the better sides.
I like it. Full wealth Melbourne guy going for hipster cred with terrible glasses. It’s even better somehow that he doesn’t stand a chance of pulling off that look.why does Jordan Lewis wear glasses that look like the ones your grandma would.
I actually rate Sydney's backline. The problem is the defensive side of their midfield. Most if not all are attacking players. It's like they have gone completely opposite to what they were 10 years or so ago as a defensive shutdown dull team. Even putting Blakey into defence(which i think is a good move), shows they want to attack from the back, but the decision making is a little poor at times which hurts them on the rebound as they don't have the defensive mids to cover turnovers. Florent/Stephens etc are nowhere near Langdon/Brayshaw. Heeney really is the only marking forward that looks dangerous. If they aren't lowering their eyes or they come up against a team with above average pressure from the midfield, then they will struggle with that bomb it long and hope strategy. Carlton get away with it because they have several marking forwards. That's why I think they are one of our biggest threats this year, because even under pressure they can kick long to the F50 and know they have forwards who can mark the pill contested.Pretty irrelevant when you can't stop the other side scoring against you.
UnbeatableBurgo fitness. What a man.
Was hoping Port won tonight, Ken will be coaching for his job next week against us.
back to back losses to bottom 4 teams when you're expected to be contending is embarrassing. Losing by 10 goals to Hawthorn at home is the real killer imo.Us beating them next week won’t be as damaging as what tonight is. Losing to your biggest rival at their lowest ebb when you’re already under the pump means Kens future is a fait accompli.
