He'd be a sensible man if he did. West Perth are the only WAFL team worthy of having the great Commetti commentate their games.Should help boost viewership for the televised WAFL match each week. What's the bet he only does WP games though!

Yeah i agree the guy was being a pretty blatant troll, nevertheless he does explore some ideas that I find interesting.
For instance, he talks about how people are socialised into following the same sporting teams as their parents and then expands upon that microcosm by discussing how socially dominant ideologies likewise affect how people see the world and construct reality.
Now personally I find such an argument quite thought provoking, not just because I can relate to it on a personal level (I come from a family of Eagles supporters, and big surprise I too am a big Eagles fan), but that the argument also has broader implications. Essentially, he is entering into a debate about the role and nature of human agency. However, building upon these ideas he, as you mentioned, establishes some link between being socialised into following the same footy team as your parents and the way in which the Coalition has allegedly indoctrinated Australia and coerced us into voting for them. Like you i think that's a pretty weak connection.
In this sense, I like some of his premises, but I don't agree with his conclusions.
Off-Season always brings out the nutcases, it'll just be worse this year as we ended the season poorly, and the salty ones among us are going to have 6 months to stew on their own anger.Who the **** are you even talking to? In the non-Eagles thread somehow steering a rant into "sack Simmo propaganda". This board has been woeful lately... Im at risk of only seeing posts from about 20 people if I keep putting the peanuts on ignore.
I don't really understand what you are saying, but you certainly seem mad.His premises, you mean like ' middle aged white people ' 'nationalism' and/ are 'nazis'..??
V
'Gay marriage' 'refugees' 'revolutionary' and 'get in for free'..
I'm surprised he didn't mention the holocaust..but I'll put that down to he simply forgot
If your really interested its called cultural Marxism and it's about the undermining of culture etc etc
I don't really understand what you are saying, but you certainly seem mad.
I'm not going to try to defend what he said, nor have I done so thus far. What I will say, however, is that the agency individuals, and the degree to which said agency is influenced by the society in which we live, is an interesting topic of debate.
Lions get a PP. Pick 19 as the draft order currently stands.
Finally the AFL are getting the PP right. No team should ever get the top 2 picks! Unless you're Melbourne it's a huge advantage!
They will piss it up the wall because they have bigger problems than just their list.

Dogs were kissed on the dick all year in regards to the umps.
Overall, the Western Bulldogs received 20 free kicks to the Swans’ eight. The differential of 12 was the biggest in a Grand Final since the three-umpire system was introduced in 1994.
rofl imagine if the Swans won the GF with a 20-8 free kick count. We'd never hear the end of it by the vic media... pricks.
Exactly... give me another 2006 with all their tears, soooo sweet...You know it. It will forever be a Vic centric competition, but thats ok because when we take the cup home the tears will flow.
