Borderline. I'd be surprised if he got games for that, despite how much I'd love to see him out and costing his team a prelim.

The air head doesn’t learn, and will keep doing it if it’s only a fine, always hitting blokes when they’re not looking, absolute weak prick.

I'll believe it when I see it. Port still haven't done anything to suggest they're not pretenders. They finished top of the ladder, but any geelong fan can tell you what that's worth. I think the Tigers will ratchet up the pressure and it won't take long for the likes of Dixon, Motlop, Clurey to drop their bundles.

Motlop maybe, but Dixon has a lot of rage in him.

What shits me is that the umps seem to go with it. It also seems to happen with whatever team is the flavour of the year, they get away with heaps cos they are "the benchmark". It's why twats like Dusty can do the straight arm when many others can't. Excellent player that he is mind you.

Happened with us, the Hawks and Lions of course too. But really it's not a fair game when so much is subjective, I guess that's why we watch it eh? You never know when it might turn our way.
I believe that the AFL take such sort of things into their calculus when they debate rule interpretation and suspension calls. The more controversy, the more passion and eyes on.

Yep it's like playing at the margins. The AFL figuring how much ambiguity the plebs will cop to fuel the passion vs how pissed off they will get with the ambiguity and drift away because of the inconsistencies.

For me I have been drifting for a while. As I have said before I simply don't like chaos football, but that is the way it is heading IMHO. Back to the original post - the AFL needs to be very careful aboot how they manage this and a number of other contemporary issues they feel they have to be prominent in

Isn't that normally a 50 when a player disposes of the ball and is brought to ground in a tackle? Guess not when you're on the receiving end playing against Richmond.
I stopped watching the match, so clearly late on this

When the above happens to Hawkins, it ends up with Hawkins reported & fined for trying to get his opponent off as they continue to hold on even with the ball 30/40m away

I just imagine if Hawkins or Greene or even Selwood did what Cotchin did to Zac Jones. Theyd be suspended for sure.

Richmond fans would be calling for Hawkins to be deregistered - they wanted Hawkins suspended for his push on Balta when he then collided with Soldo & Soldo did his ACL

They already act like Hawkins is the dirtiest player in the afl, but dare say they'd be making every excuse under the sun for their own players & the BS on display tonight
