At this rate they may need to merge with NM

Classic. That would become the dictionary definition of 'two birds', if it was ever to happen.

The North Essendon Bomberoos, playing six home games at Marvel and six out of Hobart.

Two gigantic cases of irrelevance, rolled into one behemoth of inconsequence.

Who is more unlikeable... Lynch or Hardwick?

I kinda feel sorry for Hardwick if he genuinely thinks that Lynch's on field actions this year are tough, controlled aggression & something to be proud of... What's the bet that as soon as an opponent returns fire at even 50% of what Lynch tries to dish out, that Lynch would run from the action & not handle the attention

Both ****ing losers.

One is a sniping rat on the field and the other enables it.

Wasn't Hardwick a sniping rat on the field in his playing days as well?

Good luck with the crowd and the umpiring if Lynch and Co tries to be dirty

I suspect Port will throw it right back and then some
I genuinely believe that if Lynch tries some of his faux tough shit & an opponent is willing to give it back, suddenly we won't see faux tough Lynch and instead he'll go crying to Hardwick that his opponent was mean to him...

Then we'll see Hardwick whining & whinging in his post match press conference about his players not being protected, unfairly treated etc, and ignoring that his players are amongst the worse at the faux tough shit at the moment

Throw in the trifecta of a loss into that and Hardwick will be sooking for months and months

I thought this all sounded familiar..

'let the bloke play the game and protect the ball carrier is what I'm saying.'

Shame Dixon is up the other end of the field. You think he is going to cop that?

Alternatively, shame Scarlett, Rooke and Mooney are retired. They would have punked Lynch out like the bitch he is.

I wonder if Lynch really was injured for the qualifying final, or whether he missed because he was afraid of reprisals for what happened earlier in the season when Brisbane and Richmond played...

He was far from a cleanskin, I agree. But I remember him actually being genuinely tough around the football on plenty of occasions as well.

Whereas Lynch is clearly the most 'vanilla' competitor I have ever known to be termed a 'tough guy' in the history of the game. Of course, it should also be acknowledged that the only voices dubbing him Rocky v6.0 all wear yellow and black to bed every night.

Because if Lynch is actually objectively considered to be one of the toughest players in football today, then clearly it is a far gentler game than at any other time in my forty years of watching the footy.

And a far more cowardly game, for that matter.

Does Dixon ever end up in defence, like during red time etc?

Wonder if Port will try that Fri night, send him back late in the first or second quarter and see what happens

Doubt they will try it tomorrow night, but they might try it on Friday. ;)

Well pfft... Sure we can't tell Richmond the game is tomorrow night and hope they turn up 24 hours early and are then kicked out of the state before the match is actually played?
