Swans awfully excited considering they only just fell over the line..
2011 Geelong walked it over WCE in one PF, with a key player getting injured, while Collingwood played in a thriller PF.Mmm not sure. The same thing happened in 2007. One team wins a close prelim, the other in a canter.
Great stuff from Longmire to drag them for a dressing down. He knows they gotta get their bodys up for another team that runs all day.It was said last night that prelim wins are often about "relief" but the overwheming emotion for the Cats win last night was "excitement".
Sydney's celebration was all about "relief".
Swans couldn't run out the game stopped to a walk after 3/4 time coming off a fortnight break on a postage size ground,I like everything about that as a Cats supporter.
what are the chances of the young sydney boys completely crapping themselves ala crows 17 or gws 19? They were all at sea at home imagine 100k at the g?Still not sure how sydney nearly lost that but great game of footy.
Look forward to the GF now.
Zero chance and we will be ready for them...make no mistakewhat are the chances of the young sydney boys completely crapping themselves ala crows 17 or gws 19? They were all at sea at home imagine 100k at the g?
Yep, Geelong's fitness levels are impressive. Aren't we the best 4th quarter team in the business?Great stuff from Longmire to drag them for a dressing down. He knows they gotta get their bodys up for another team that runs all day.
09 prelim was easy win compared to tough slog for the sainters.2011 Geelong walked it over WCE in one PF, with a key player getting injured, while Collingwood played in a thriller PF.
2011 Geelong and 2022 Geelong keep getting comparisons...
You'd think Geelong fans wouldn't be ones to mention size of the ground. It's a false argument against us and it's a false argument against Sydney.SCG isn’t that much smaller than the MCG. Plus the swans play the G well.
Going to be one hell of a contest, 2 best sides all year.
If Holmes doesn't get up it makes me think Menegola is the guy. I had Parfitt intially but now I'm not sure.Yep, Geelong's fitness levels are impressive. Aren't we the best 4th quarter team in the business?
If pace and pressure weren't issues, Menegola is the go-to. Not writing either off, but Menegola is always better when then game is already going our way.If Holmes doesn't get up it makes me think Menegola is the guy. I had Parfitt intially but now I'm not sure.
Buddy has been ordinary for weeks and if Reid doesn’t come up. Well.Buddy looked injured towards the end ?

perhaps but i thought guthrie was pretty good last night. not too worried- especially for a GF. just pump him full of painkillers if neededYou’d think O’Connor stays as the medical sub. Can come in for a range of options.
Leaves Parfitt and Menegola. I’m leaning to Parfitt for 2 reasons -
1. His contested game will be valuable against a very contested Swans outfit.
2. C.Guthrie is clearly carrying an injury. Allows him to play a more outside role and Parfitt to take on some of his inside responsibilities.
