Dogs were quite good against Coll but lost - same last week against Swans

Ess were pitiful last week - dead set pathetic

The Bont and Treloar will both have big games - their last few games have been very good - they need an effort fom Ugle - Hagan - i thought effort wise he was very ordinary last week

As was foretold, sides like Essendon and St Kilda are falling away at a rate that Geelong won't match even if we drop 3 from here.

Swans at Marvel is now a must win, 2 "easier" games (but based on current form who knows) at Marvel against WCE and North Melbourne, and then Giants away before finishing with the Pies at the MCG.
Bombers currently 9th on 36 points and 98.4%
Should Carlton beat WCE they go 2 points and percentage clear, should Richmond beat Hawks they go 2 points and percentage clear, should Croms win they go equal points and clear on percentage, and Gold Coast beat GWS they go equal on points.

Essendon could finish the round in 12th (can't go any lower, as a big Gold Coast win against GWS puts GWS below Essendon on percentage).

vs Leppitsch in the coaches box could be interesting… wonder what Carr will do with N. Daicos? Hope they put it all out there. I would have Carr coach of the year ahead of Leppa as at least Leppa had some head coaching experience before . Carr in his first year doing great!

They're like St Kilda - had a decent start with a soft draw but have fallen away badly.

St Kilda 4-7 over their last 11.

Essendon 5-8 over their last 13.

Some scratchy wins from both along the way. It's simply been a weak top 8, from as far up as 3rd, and has been all season.

Nobody has belted Essendon like we did though, and I have no doubt it sapped them heading into the Doggies game.
