I can't see Scott Burns giving up a comfy gig at Hawthorn and moving across just for an assistant gig. If he doesn't get the senior job I think he'll stay where he is, unless he's keen to move to Adelaide for non-football reasons ie family etc.

I reckon he’d make a good head coach. Needs the experience but would not be unhappy with appointing him in a role with him becoming a head coach in the future (hopefully for us). Smart guy + personable + ambitious + some runs on the board with what he did with our backline for a few years.

I actually wonder if we'll see Roo step away from his role as Football Director, potentially as a board member itself, and we'll see Pods move into this position at the club. There might be a 12 month or so transition for this though.

Pods just looks to have too much on the go to suddenly drop everything and become Football Ops Manager. No doubt he's well qualified and appears to be a great candidate for the role if he wanted it though.
