Be stunned if at least one of AJ or Fin are not delisted with the promise of re rookie listing if availableThats our last avail list spot on the senior list, with the remaining 3 would. be for the draft.
Now we see what they do with Long
My name is not ClearyWe have re-signed Long according to Cleary.
Makes sense.Markov and Ash being the two delisted and planning on rooking them if avail
If brisbane, essendon and gc are forced to burn through all their picks to match early bids, it is possible for all our picks to shift atleast 6-7 spots, if not more.I'm not following. Given how late the picks are, it's highly unlikely we'll be picking up future stars. Why risk clogging up the list for one year more than is necessary by using the last pick in the National Draft, rather than the Rookie Draft?
Don't think it does - unless someone grabs Oleg.We have re-signed Long according to Cleary.
But delisted Markov and Johnson and wil rookie them if available. so leaves another list spot avail
Tend to agree.
Murphy was lightning striking. He suddenly became one of the best in the league in terms of judgement and timing to go with being one of the best in terms of commitment to the contest. And Markov was the fastest ever recorded player for a fair few years.
Reef is the one who could possibly develop, but it's a long shot.
I should also add that even though I’m “calling time” so to speak on half a dozen guys at least 12 months out from their end I will be barracking for the story. Premiership teams tend to be built on players coming from nowhere the two I mentioned in 2023, Stengle and SDK in 2022 and Morris and Lohman this year immediately spring to mind so I think we need at least two to bob up to be at the pointy end in 2025. I just think it’s more likely to come from Parker, Smit, Allan, HDM or Markov again than the others who are super fringe list retainees.Tend to agree.

They're both contracted - It won't save us any money, as we'll have to pay them both what they're contracted for, right? It'll just be for the salary cap saving of 36 and 6.
So we don’t care that Ash is contracted?
Little bit surprised about Leggy
Never say never, but I can’t remember many cases where a player being re rookied are picked up by another club. Aside from when Hugh Greenwood got picked up by North. I’d be very surprised if Ash or Oleg got picked up by anybody else.I mean... We're dangling Markov and Johnson hoping someone picks them up, right?
There's no rational reason to move them from our senior list to our rookie list otherwise. It doesn't create any additional senior list spots, because we're just going from 4 on the rookie list and 38 on the senior list to 36 on the senior list and 6 on the rookie list with this move.
So logically the only reason is to hope they actually get picked up by another team.
Interesting that either one of them agreed to that while contracted, could be picked up by anyone.Markov and Ash being the two delisted and planning on rooking them if avail

They don't get a say - They get their money no matter what, but they don't need to agree to be delisted.Interesting that either one of them agreed to that while contracted, could be picked up by anyone.
30 + 2 recruits + membrey = 32. 3 in the draft. 35 players. Probably means we can pick up one more player in DFA or taje 4 in the draft.Jen2310 with 36 on the senior list, we should get 2 more picks in the national draft correct ?
