Oh I may have put $500 on us to win .
so yes I’m feeling very violated atm.

Oh well as we say.

I cop shit for picking on players but I’ve never picked on Zurhaar as one example.

That first quarter cost us and **** me . I’m in no place to forgive them just now .

Loved the fight back and think Teakle may have a future . Plenty to like but I’m still 500 out of pocket lol

Update on your thoughts on Archer?

I’m a big knocker of Curtis Taylor but he’s starting to look like he belongs. Using his body a lot better and presenting very well.

Think a few are being a bit harsh on Larkey. Played a fairly selfless game I thought. Tried to drag May out a lot in that last quarter.

PS May…. Absolute piece of 💩
Agree on Larkey. First half there were 3 clear occasions our kick was to the defender’s advantage. There’s belief there now. Was great to come back from so far behind. Plenty of upside to come. Think of what the side would look like with upgrades to Stephens, McDonald, Tucker, Taylor, Pink.

My greatest fear coming into tonight was whether we’d be able to maintain the momentum of the last few weeks. There’s enough of a sample size now to say that we’ve been very competitive in the last 4 games. We have officially turned the corner. And whilst a couple of extra wins would have been great we are heading in the right direction another good trade and draft period and we’ll be well on our way.
Totally agree. Given where Melbourne are at I thought it would end up being one of those games where we played them into form! But it wasn’t! And instead of folding, we mounted a come back! Now that’s an effing positive!

That’s all I’ve got for tonight.

Archer was fantastic (among others of course, but wow) and that last quarter was totally electric; seeing the supporters get up and about as we inched closer to the Dees was so good. That Sheezel mark inside 50, my God I yelled. Just makes our efforts in the first three quarters so frustrating to look back on. We just didn't look switched on, especially in the first.

Two close losses in a row, while much more exciting than the thrashings we're used to, really stings for me. I'm experiencing some deja vu of the Ratten games in the middle of last season. We need to bloody win some of these gettable games. I don't want to wait until the last game again, the boys need reward for this effort.

Bulldogs next week couldn't have come at a worse time, they love flogging us. Take it to them for four quarters and the worm has officially turned. Can't wait to see Logue and McKercher back in the side.

We finally have the structure balance and I think these guys are helping with our bombs down the line play we all so love to see ad nauseum.
Credit to coaching staff tho. They are figuring it all out …
What a waste of money Stephen’s is. 4 years of cash we could and should be loading on the LDU contract .
Yeah, they are adequate in their roles and making a big difference. It would be nice if one was a bit more of a goal threat but I'd still want these guys around as depth.

Obviously disappointing but to kick 5 straight to nothing on the MCG in the last and know that every GoDeez supporter was panicking was great.

We ended up winning contested ball again after being smashed in that area for the first half of the year. We dominated at ground level in the last. The mids are combining far better. The steps taken by Wardlaw, Xerri, Comben and Archer have been big.

Suspect we slowed our ball movement down because we don't have the collective tanks yet to turn a game into an athletics carnival as we found out last week. Either way, from where we've come from, the growth in belief, competitiveness and performance in 4 weeks has been pretty remarkable.

We're turning into a young, competitive and contested side. We have four high quality first rounders from '23 who will slot in Tetris style with another high pick to come. We're going to be a force.
