He had 5 clearances for the day and 3-4 of them came in the last when he became full time mid. Bloke is going to be a genuine star. Just had all the tools. More accurate medium distance kicking is his only real weak point.
5 clearances is a great effort given the limited time.

The kid started on the wing this year, went to 3rd tall and nailed it, was asked to go forward and did well and now has impressed albeit a short time in the midfield.

I'm sure this was in the Game Day thread but I want to put it here because god damn does that jacket look fire.

When I first saw that image I thought “he’ll stay”

Stats didn’t say much but at the game he has the best marking hands in our team.

Absolutely elite overhead and will be extremely disappointed if we lose him this offseason.
I think we’re resigned to it. If we can turn losing him into getting Redman or Duursma, we would have done ok out of it. A shame to lose him though. Developing beautifully.

Alir and McKenzie played shithouse against a highly rated star kf line.

And those star talls didn’t have half the influence ours did. Cause of jones and Bergman.

Bergs is playing a selfless role at the moment. He’s the reason we’re not getting killed by talls despite playing shit **** all key talls back there.

LOL what is this? It's tough to bitch about Ken, DBJ, McEntee, Lycett, etc so people have to write off Bergman halfway through the season? Maybe he's going, maybe he's happy watching his earnings increase with every good game before he signs, either way there's no point crying over imaginary defections.

Correct, I’m guessing he’ll stay.

I think you underestimate Miles - he has truckloads of potential but lacks confidence and presence. Those will come with time.

He's got good skills, engine and is a great size with a good contested mark. His work rate also seems to be good - all the ingredients are there for him to become a star either later this season or next season.

Pickett is a different player - there are plenty on our list I'd be looking to offload before Miles.
And now that presence and confidence is growing and we're starting to reap the rewards. Hopefully we can keep hold of him. Still has so much more growth left in him.

Multiple Victorian based teams will be clamouring for Miles signature, he’s a future AA in the making despite his current poor kicking efficiency. If he decides to go home it will be a big loss, but it will give us a ticket back into the 1st Round of the Draft. Anyone who thinks Bergman is not a worth 1st rounder is kidding themselves & has their head up their arse.

Thought he was our best defender in terms of actually defending last night. Always felt confident when he was in the contest, even against Cameron on the lead. Played very well.
When I squint my eyes and he has that closing speed on the lead I see Stephen Silvagni.

He just has that last bit of speed on the lead with the arm flying out of true desperation to get at the ball on the lead right at the last second that not many other guys can get to.

Apart from kicking, his overall skillset makes him be able to take on many guys.

He has been thrown tasks this year and excelled.
