Yeah, a lot of bed wetting on here when it happened. Looking a really good move now.

I think most of the angst was due to the initial 2017 1st rounder trade.

The 11th hour pick swap with Sydney copped a lot less heat and from memory the opinions were pretty evenly split.

I wasn't particularly pissed with either. If we do well next year then we can trade away a player with currency and get back in to the first round.

Was fine with trading 9 out for 14/17.

And the assumption (fairly safe at the time) that we would blow the draft.

I think it was more to do with the pessimism surrounding the upcoming season, which suggested that we may have traded a Top 10 pick for 19 and 30.

Anyway time will tell if it was the right move, but we've done well so far.

Good get Dusty Mk2

From my own eyes, a few question marks over kicking under pressure/on the run, can grubber them but if he irons that out will be a gun.
I agree, but then I remember bagging a certain gun mid with the same problem ... Now number 1 in the AFL, and Brownlow medalist! :$

Good decision considering the quality of the draft.

Port's 1st Brownlow medalist confirmed (Wanganeen doesn't count)
How can you guarantee anything when umpires deciding things are involved???
