If Williams has made a single mistake in defence all year, I can't remember it
couple of clanger kick outs/ short passes in defence are the only ones i remember. I don't think he has been caught holding the ball yet which was a bit of a worry about his lack of pace.

He and Farrell have elite kicking skills which are able to move the ball faster out of defence in transition. Williams has been a revelation out of defence - reminds me a bit of the way Houston came on the scene in 2017 as such a composed player beyond his years.

Of all the players on the club's list at the start of the season, Williams would have had to be near or that the bottom in terms of players tipped to break out in 2023. Absolutely imperative they extend his contract.

That was the Ollie Lord mark in the wet wasn't it?
Yes you are right he shanked the kick and it floated and Lordi dived and took it in line with point post about 10m out, and went back and calmly slotted a checkie goal.

I'm obviously thinking of another left footer who was by the boundary line. But we got to see Dylan's set shot run up routine, which needs improvement.

Am I the only one who still wants to see him thrown forward at some stage now that he’s fit, confident and embedded?
I am more than happy for him to continue to settle in the one position for a bit longer, but i would absolutely love to see him get a crack as a forward at some stage. His goal sense was elite as a younger player. The sort that could come in and kick a few from a few kicks. Another versatile option for us down the track.

13 games and still undefeated.

Geez he was good and composed in the last quarter. Reckon he loved it being wet.

Without a word of a lie he has barely made a mistake all season.

It's almost beyond belief that he was delisted less than 12 months ago.
And it is further proof that ports recruiters know what they are doing. Plus well done to Williams for putting in the hard work and living up to his potential.

It is always fabulous uncovering a gem within the list rather than having to recruit or trade

Dyls has ice in his veins he just does not panic at all.
He plays more like a 300 gamer in his last couple of seasons than a 13 gamer in his first.
