lol why the **** would we persist with Hewett instead of going for someone new? Nothing against the guy, but that decision seems hardly pragmatic. His time is well past.

He can still make it....

Yeah I don't mind Trengove. Good leadership at the lower level. Can play that depth role if needed.

Becouse there are so many guys in the magpies more deserving of AFL games and offer better leadership than him.... it’s not like he’s the best guy in the twos every week
May as well have given Toumpas another year complete waste of time & Will Snelling won the B&F last I looked.

Trengove is a slow cooked ham and you thought you'd need to wait until xmas.

I don't like the look of our list at the moment. It's too heavy on top level 29+ talent and developing/unproven kids with literally no quality whatsoever other than Wines in that key 24-28 age bracket. It's disturbing me a lot to think what this team will look like in a couple of years time unless a huge percentage of our recent draftees become quality players.

I raised this 3 years ago and was laughed out of the thread. I just can't believe our list management direction given the obvious cliff approaching.

E.g..
Major cliff when Wines, Wingard, Polec, Hombsch, et al are in their prime? Carn mate.
:p

Don’t know a lot about ladham’s development, but I think he can still make it. I think Trengove improved and I think he may be around for a few years. McKenzie showed nothing.
Trengove is simply an SANFL leader. His games at AFL level had no impact at all. Can chip the ball around when we need to hold possession but that's it.

He needs to start dominating SANFL games soon, too many games where his contribution is nowhere near enough.
2 years in for a ruckman and he's able to lead the SANFL ruck if needed. I don't think he's that far off. I expect Frampton will be the first ruckman delisted from our current group.
