I thought Americans might have been able to peacefully resist for a while until I heard news of Musk gaining control of the Treasury. It would not surprise me in the slightest if I hear about people not receiving welfare payments. That's when shit will start to get real. I just hope people can rally together and help one another out rather than leaving the isolated with nothing to lose. My expectations of this are very low though.

I expect China to recognise an opportunity and attempt to capitalise but I hope we keep them at arm's length as well. Ideally we start working more closely with everyone else without completely burning bridges with the US and China.

I’d like to think most of them are uncomfortable at the overnight dismantling of the FBI and justice department.

So why not start by refusing to approve Patel to head up the FBI and insisting Trump nominate an alternative that at least understands the FBI works to protect the Constitution and the people and doesn’t report to the Executive Branch.

Just one small step of resistance. Not that hard, surely?
