I’m not sure if this belongs in this Trump thread or the other one. The distinction seems blurred. But I’ll ask here.

How is the FBI going to function on Monday with the six most senior people gone, the field office heads gone, hundreds - maybe more- of agents gone.

Who’s going to respond to terrorist threats, search for missing people, psychoanalyse serial killers and hunt America’s most wanted?*

* Yes, I do have a weakness for US police procedural dramas.

I think this is the point.

Trump is out for vengeance against anyone he perceived slightest him. Project 2025’s cohort want domestic chaos so they can declare martial law.

Doing these two things happen to align.

What part of his election promises is removing a guy known for actually protecting consumers from big business?

Chopra, who has been targeted by Republican lawmakers for putting restrictions on financial institutions in favor of consumers

Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent gave representatives of the so-called Department of Government Efficiency full access to the federal payment system late on Friday, according to three people familiar with the change, handing Elon Musk and the team he is leading a powerful tool to monitor and potentially limit government spending.

The new authority follows a standoff this week with a top Treasury official who had resisted allowing Mr. Musk’s lieutenants into the department’s payment system, which sends out money on behalf of the entire federal government. The official, a career civil servant named David Lebryk, was put on leave and then suddenly retired on Friday after the dispute, according to people familiar with his exit.

The system could give the Trump administration another mechanism to attempt to unilaterally restrict disbursement of money approved for specific purposes by Congress, a push that has faced legal roadblocks.

This is scary stuff

Alright, I’ll eat humble pie and admit it - I was wrong about Trump... in that I never expected his second admin to be this efficient, this effective, and this committed to keeping promises. But here we are… and autocorrect just fixed one of my errors instead of making it worse. In the words of Darryl Kerrigan, it looks like everybody's kicked a goal!

Or counter Russian and Chinese spies, its the FBI that does the ASIO, MI5 role in the US.

New memo from Department of Transport saying birth and marriage rates will be a consideration in grant funding for states.

As long as it makes bacon and eggs cheaper right? Oh wait.

As long as they are white people having babies and not those pesky Latinos.

You do realise Xtreme is a troll right?
I honestly don't think he is. I think he's a genuine Trumpist.

Which begs the question, if you troll so hard that literally everyone thinks you're a ****wit, are you really trolling them or yourself?

Women in the home rather than working and ckecking that the birth rates don't exceed the 2.4 children per married couple?

The religious right in Australia will be salivating

Its quite clear Australia are in the good books of Trump.

When the defense secretary, the Fox news parrot dude, was asked to name an ASEAN country, he named dropped AUKUS and the Nuke Subs as the answer.

I find the whole American system to be undemocratic. All these pardons and executive orders...yuck.
