Could China just raise the interest rate on the money US owes them?
US doesn't borrow money from China.
They just issue US treasury bonds, and China buys them, because they offer a return above what leaving several hundred billion dollars in US treasury transaction accounts does.
It's the US that sets the terms of the bonds they issue, and China can do nothing with them beyond wait until they mature, or sell them on the bond market.
If they mature, the US pays them with money it raises by issuing more bonds.
They give China zero leverage over the US government. None at all.

He really wants a isolated America because he’s starting multiple trade wars which will result in new alliances and trade unions for those affected countries that will exclude America in the future.

Yes the US does have exports that they excell in but it doesn't necessarily mean that it couldn't change due to circumstance and need.

There's more layers to it than just that. I've lived over here for 10 years. The information filtering down to Australia is very much diluted from the reality.
Trump wants to saturate privatisation. That's the end game. It isn't just a sales tax and billionaire tax evasion scheme. He knows this will tank the economy which will then create a climate for mass privatisation. Most business leaders over here know what's coming.

If they start selling them presumably they can increase the cost of future US borrowing. May not be a substantial effect
