So I have a mobile with telstra and could watch AFL games free last year, is this now replaced with the need to pay the reduced Kayo price?
If you were able to get AFL Live Pass for free as a Telstra mobile customer you will be eligible for the $5/month Kayo offer. I'm in that situation and took up the Kayo offer in time to be able to watch the AAMI Community game against the Camry Crows.

Macca's opposite tips are like a footballer's special undies they wear because they had a good game once while wearing them.

Ditto Macca talking about his nervous bowel movements the morning of.

Call me crazy, but Team For All South Australians™, Pride Of South Australia™ , #WEARESA, the ill-fated attempt to wear the SOO guernsey, and things like putting up the SA flag in the rooms while playing interstate (not sure if this is still a thing tbh) made a lot of sense in the 90’s and early 00’s when the vast majority of their players were locals.

But how is any of that shtick in any way relevant to Jake Lever, Jack Gunston, Charlie Cameron, Kurt Tippett, Jarryd Lyons, Fischer McAsey and Brad Crouch?
It may keep their older fans (most of them) who remember SOO happy, but with two SA sides and a majority of players not local it doesn't sell them well the last 20 years.

If they drop all the Kick a Vic, SA Rulz! then what do they market themselves as? The obvious answer is to market themselves, as what they've always really been, a club aimed at and for 'the well to do' set. Of course they do that and they risk alienating the rest of their supporters. Port as a club is unashamedly proud of it's working class roots, but welcomes people from all walks of life, if they will buy in and treat all fellow supporters well. You can't have a club pitched at the top end of town, then allow other supporters in, without it looking like they are second class citizens, only allowed to sit with their betters, as their money is needed.

It's their eternal dilemma and the reason they are unlikely to move away from SA Great! anytime soon. It's the papering over the cracks, that they don't give a shit about their supporters outside the 'right suburbs'. A fair number of those supporters deep down know they don't matter, but hate Port too much to go to a club that is 'a more natural fit'. They latch on strongly to the propaganda from West Lakes, because they don't want to know better. That club is like a family full of toxic relationships.

Back in the day I always played better after a 2 or 3 shit Saturday morning than a single shitter Saturday morning.

I'm with macca on the nervous shits.

Everyone is thinking that teams will manipulate the sub to get on a fresh player. But this will be the true manipulation. Any player that is suspected of a concussion will be subbed out for some other injury, so that all teams can avoid their players being sidelined for 12 days.

Nah, he's got a neck issue from that collision and we're removing him as a conclusion. He's fine from a concussion point of view and doesn't need to be tested.
Any Club Doctor who does that should be disbarred. It should be an AFL Doctor though.

I see their latest member lanyards still have the Team For All South Australians slogan. They're desperately holding onto it despite its relevance dwindling with every new year. Whilst Port Adelaide has worked to embrace its past but still be inclusive of anybody in the wider community and continues to grow in support, they still want to pretend to be the only club in town. They've worked themselves into a corner with this because really, without that schtick, what actually are they?

They have never been the club for all South Australians. Made sense when they were effectively the state team with over half the state players coming from the crows. The good ole boys at the SANFL, weren't ever going to let the great unwashed into their club set up.

“This is about health and safety” - Gil and Shocking. Pack of lies. It’s solely due to coaches having too much say and the league having no backbone.

The AFL: “let’s reduce rotations to increase fatigue!”

Also the AFL: “let’s give teams a completely fresh player over and above if a player happens to ping a string!”
