When we had our form slump last year it was because everyone had worked us out.

For some reason it was forgotten come finals time. Expect to hear the same bs from idiots like Shaw and Rowe when we lose.

North were coming back into it like a train halfway through the quarter but things have settled down and the margin's back out to 44 points at 3/4 time.

They were still in it with a silly chance at 38 points down and 3 1/2 minutes to go in Q3 but they gave up a goal with 6 seconds to play.

Hopefully North play another quarter like that. Don't want to see the cows at the top of the ladder even if it's only round 1.
I don't mind seeing the Crows on top of the ladder - it makes the fall that much more dramatic when their season turns to crap.

>Lose by two goals in an away game to a top 4 fancy
>Everyone has worked us out

Everyone, guys. Everyone.
Better get the tarps out. No one will want to watch us play now.

Tony Shaw is such a campaigner

He's an absolute turnip. Desperately wants to be the one to call out a team's downfall, because he has nothing of real value to add outside of his mind-blowing "x player is going to be a 10 year player for x club" calls, yet the joke's constantly on him when his 'predictions' never turn out.

Can't stand him and that bloated purple head of his.

The notion that everyone has worked us out by mouthbreather Shaw & then imply everyone's game plan evolves each year except Kern's apparently are the meanderings of a prize A twatwaddle......... No wonder he couldn't coach for shit

Adelaide got ****** really hard by the Tippett thing. They've got as many A-graders on their list as any club. If they had the depth that an extra 5 or 6 early draft picks would have provided they'd be top four certainties IMO.
As little as I care about that mob Sloane & Danger would be stupid to walk out on that club, I think Rory will stay but still not sure about Dangerfield, they're a ready made fullback away from having a list that could be on par with ours in terms of their very best 22.

Instead of worrying about getting Aish they should chuck some of that leftover salary cap at getting Alex Rance & they'd be right up there with us in premiership contention based on their very best available mid-fwd line.

It's one thing to know Port's game plan - it's entirely another thing to counter it effectively. Fremantle snuck over the line in the dying seconds last night, despite having 5 months to plan what they wanted to do. Good luck stopping us once the players get rid of the cobwebs, and they're at the top of their game.

The reality is that they should be closer to a flag then we are, given that they last won in 1998 and the last time they actually pushed for genuine top four was 2005/2006. Talent has never been a problem for the Crows - it's application and the expectation of a supporter base that can't help but heap pressure on them when they aren't really ready for it. Of course, they got Walker for peanuts due to a quirk in the scholarship system, so I'm not gonna feel sorry for them at all.

Soft draw or not, the crows have a good list. Was poorly coached for a few years by the great sendough but they will improve this year with Walsh. Will play finals and I still think will take norfs place in the top four.

Shits me because I always had hoped it was the list and not sendough. List is good, imagine if they hadn't lost two years worth of draft picks...... Thanks Kurtz and Triggy.

not so sure their midfield runs that deep tbh but they'll play finals if they continue with the effort put in yesterday

They will beat sides they have a better midfield than. If it's even their defence will crumble. They've a top six and maybe four list only considering mids and forwards.

I don't agree regarding their best 22 being on par with ours. The crows top 11 is as good as anyone's but their next 11 fall away a fair bit. Without the ridiculous draft sanctions they copped compared to Essendon, they would be close with a Rance type.

Yeah actually you're right the back end of their best 22 definitely isn't as good but they do a very good job of hiding the average players & getting the best out of them when momentum is on their side.

The top end of their list like ours is really good it's a shame they don't get put through the similar challenges we do when it comes to our fixture to get a true gauge of how good they can perform under a finals type intensity as often as we do.

The crows are alright. Skiing over the top of a shithouse North Melbourne at home in round one is one thing, sustaining it for the season is another thing entirely. Yesterday at Adelaide Oval was two mid table teams going at each other. Remember, North Melbourne started their pre season almost a full month after Adelaide began theirs and it showed. This is the one positive about our tough first month - we're playing teams with a similar preparation for the season as us.
