When St Kilda sucked balls in 2000 they got Riewoldt and Koschitzke.

When Hawthorn sucked balls in 2004 they got Roughead and Franklin.

When Collingwood sucked balls in 2005 they got Thomas and Pendlebury.

When Carlton sucked balls in 2005 they got Murphy and Kennedy.

When we sucked balls in 2011 we got pick #6 ONLY. Now thankfully that player was Chad Wingard but having only just missed the wooden spoon on % with just the 3 wins, there's no way we weren't entitled to Chad and a Patton/Cameron type - and there would be our super elite premiership dynasty big.

Pays not to bottom out right as priority picks are removed thanks to perennial tankers and not one, but two expansion teams are picking the eyes of out of multiple draft classes.

It was akin to a Carltank punishment

We did get royally screwed didn't we if we came bottom woyld have we got the priority?

Schulz is clever enough with his body to win more one on ones than he loses. Of course, play him deep enough, and he can just take it on the lead instead and its not an issue. He's a strong contested mark too when he gets a good run at the pack.

Hoff is a great contested grab.

Dukes Butcher is a contested marking freak at times despite looking unorthodox.

Hopefully Ryder can spend time forward and find a rhythm and communication with the other forwards. Lobbe is capable too of a strong mark and goal.

We have all the necessary ability in our KPF stocks, we need to be smarter.

You would like to belive that but when jay is on the wing westhiff is in defence gray in the middle monfries the sub i woukd be happy with a stay hime monster forward just my opinion dont wanna be rude
lobbe is the key, as i said yesterday he is was the biggest out we have. when he plays the rest falls intp place. give it a couple of weeks, it will happen.

Gold Coast finished bottom and only got pick 4.

We may've received an after first round priority pick (keeping in mind the end of the 'first round' was the equivalent of a late second rounder after GWS' concession picks were applied), but compared to what we would've got under the old system (picks 2 & 4) it was dirt.

I'd like us to do the dominating on field rather than talk a big game in here. Let's remember, for all of our gains in the last couple of years we're still to finish a season in the top 4. Let's act like Hawthorn supporters when we've won a premiership.
I wasn't trying to sound high and mighty: I was simply expressing my intense frustration at our inability to beat the mongrels. This is our 19th year in the competition, and in all that time we've only beaten them 8 times - it's ridiculous!!!

"Seasoned campaigners" are hawthorn apparently. Lol @ the mental picture of a seasoned campaigner.
If Hawthorn are seasoned campaigners what would Geelong be? Hold that thought, I don't want to know.

If by seasoned you mean semen and by campaigner you mean vagina then it's very immature for you to be lolling. It's a normal part of adulthood

I hate this new holding the ball interpretation. If you legally dispose of the ball, how can it have been holding the ball? I can't stand it already
It's very simple, really. As I understand it, it's a lot like the dialect of English known as AAvE. Despite being scholarly recognized by any decent linguist, many will tell you that particular features of AAvE are incorrect. What I mean is that people don't think it be like it is, but, really, it do. As in, the holding the ball interpretation is good if applied consistently and this interpretation is fairly simple to get correct, so, ergo, in this particular instance, it is good.

Geelong are starting to look a lost cause already. Most teams will have to put up with a multiple goal run from Hawthorn but up until recently Geelong had the wood on Hawthorn and do not look like they will be able to make an appreciable dent in Hawthorn's lead. There is a story today on the afl website asking whether Geelong could have a premiership in them, from the performance so far they are not even assured of final 4, maybe even finals.

Steve Johnson, as well as having the most disposals of any Cat has made more of them count than anyone else.
