Have two identical twins ever been sacked as head coaches of blue-and-white AFL teams in the same round following a big defeat in the first round of the season?

Surely it's happened, maybe, once or twice before in the past.

We have three weeks to get ready for the Hawks. In the meantime, one game at a time.

Each of the matches at the beginning of this season are 8 point equivalents given our opposition.

We lost the first one. Can't drop the other ones.

Hawthorn now 59 ahead and have already scored 5.4 to 0.3 in Q3. With one quarter and about 10 minutes to go it looks like it will be Hawthorn and not Adelaide who are on the top of the ladder at the end of the day.

Geelong look extremely disorganised. Almost shambolically so. Their list is nearly shot and Chris Scott exposed for the fraud he is.
Only a matter of time until he's blaming open roofs ect like his brother. I have everything crossed they have a shit year and Motlop likes the cut of our jib ala Paddy.

Nah m8, this is the flag assault Scott has been preparing for since he walked into the 2011 flag.

Cats are bottoming out. Difference is their bottoming out means they will still make the eight.

Miles off from bottoming out. I think 10 of their first 22 is over 30. Not many from the next group coming through have looked like taking over the mantle. They'll be bottom 4 in the next 2 years

I currently have almost no hope we'll get Tom Hawkins. But we surely have to ask him the question.
Of course ask. Offer him a 5 year, 6 million deal and he'd be playing a GF more often than not. At the least drive up his price. If he wants more GF's it's us or Hawks. Sydney is losing Cola and #lolnorf.

Watching the Hawks vs Cats game. They are relentless and are giving the Cats nothing. This is what we should strive for.

Hawthorn look very scary. There older players are getting better and their kicking is amazing. Is it me or does Selwood get a free kick everytime he touches the ball?

Hawks and Freo it's not all about the quality of their older players, it's whether they are available when it matters. Hawks had heaps out last year, but lucked in having them all available come finals. I wouldn't put money on that silver lining again.

It's funny how things work. As rusty as we were yesterday we still only went down by 7 points away to a team that's lost something like 3 times at home in the last 3 years. Had we managed to hang on and win it would have easily been as a big a statement as Hawthorn's making today.

Remember that time Geelong supporters told us about all those A-grade 2nd tier players they had coming through...
