Okay, how are Hawthorn under the cap?

All those high profile recruits and all those home grown superstars?
They're not. Cash is being exchanged 'legitimately' through sponsorship and other promotional deals by Hawthorn. Probably something to do with Tasmania.

I have 5 weeks of accounting classes at university up my sleeve so I'm pretty much an expert now. You can take my word for it.

Honestly, if I was St Kilda list management, Riewoldt, Montagna, Steven, Fisher can all have a million each, and everyone else split the rest.

I'm gonna.

Everywhere you look there's a boom recruit (Burgoyne, McEvoy, Frawley, Gunston, Gibson, post-Norm Smith Lake) or established weapon (Roughead, Rioli, Mitchell, Lewis, Hodge, Birchall, Breust, Smith).

Shiels and Hill must be getting paid in complimentary soda.

Even Geelong I wonder a bit. There are some long term premiership players like Johnson, Bartel, Selwood, Enright, Stokes and high-profile recruits like Rivers, Caddy and Clark (and MIA McIntosh), then there's Hawkins looking at $800K/year and Dangerfield supposedly being offered $1M+/year.

Don't like them, but they are full of players who'd get more elsewhere. There is the outside the cap finals payments, plus the knowledge that premiership medals equals more cash (in general) post career via more opportunities.

We are starting to sell the vision, having attracted Polec and Ryder the last two years. Win a flag and with our current off-field personnel we'll be pushing that hard to any free agents you can be sure. Though the Hawks are still benefitting from multiple high draft picks from when shit, which we of course never had access to.

Hawks, Freo and Sydney will win big early, they largely have their sides together. It's how all those old farts hold up over 22 games that will determine if they are a threat come September.

Just had a look at the cows draw before they play us and they have Collingwood at Etihad, Melbourne at AO, Western Bulldogs at Etihad. Collingwood fell in against Brisbane, Melbourne played a lacklustre GCS with Ablett turning in one of his worst games for them. Western Bulldogs played a good game but WCE away is not much opposition. They could easily be 4-0 when we play them.

Wait til they land Dangerfield. Everyone is playing for second this year.

If you want to be a loser and give up, go right ahead. I say the bigger the mountain, the more epic the conquest.

Does this also apply to mountains with broken backs?
