Rutten charged by the MRP in his last match... brilliant, but what confuses me is the grading and how they come up with it. Go and get fkd, it was behind the play you muppets.

Ben Rutten, Adelaide Crows, has been charged with a Level Two Striking Offence (125 demerit points, one-match sanction) for striking Adam Schneider, St Kilda, during the first quarter of the Round 23 match between the Adelaide Crows and St Kilda, played at Adelaide Oval on Sunday August 31, 2014.

In summary, due to his six-year good record, he can accept a reprimand and 70.31 points towards his future record.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report from the St Kilda Football Club, the incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points). This is a total of five activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level Two Offence, drawing 125 demerit points and a one-match sanction. He has an existing six-year good record, which reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 93.75 points towards his future record. An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 70.31 points towards his future record.

It was behind the play which makes it Intentional Conduct. What a farce.

It will happen in a few years - Port v Crows final at AO.

Unless the ticketing and qualification issue is sorted it will be an ugly day in Adelaide as 80,000 people try to get 50,000 tickets.

Melbourne Mad Monday.

Two players (allegedly) rocked up as Rolf Harris and a young girl.

According to 5AA...
Ooooooo Noooo...... wouldn't you think it's going to show up on social media even if..... No just No an ordinary look even taking into account that they are footballers.

Saw something similar to this before but at the end of round 23 the retirement team of 2014 are:
FB: Glass Rutten LRT
HB: Hunt Maxwell Cassisi
C: Winderlich Ball Scotland
HF: Bradley Gumbleton Clark
FF: McGrath Brown King
R: Cox Hayes Moloney
Interchange: Bock Byrnes Gilham Murphy Duigan Lynch Maister Williams K Hunt
Sub: D Giansiracusa (just coz :p)
Dayumn that's a good team

Also, if a player is suspended in round 23 or during the final series and their team gets eliminated so the suspension carries onto next year does this make them ineligible for the brownlow?

When Judd got suspended for that 'pressure point' move against a Brisbane player in a final he was still eligible for the Brownlow in both that year and the following one. Not sure about Round 23 suspensions but I suspect they'd be ineligible the year of offence and eligible the year after.
