Hope there is some truth about what Merrett claiming Hird wasn’t right for the job and that scares the Essendon board off.

People talking down Collingwood lol. Understand that culture and being winners matters. Winning close games is not luck. They win close games because they believe they're the great Collingwood Football Club and it's their right to do so. Our club used to be the same until we got overtaken and destroyed from within by TV stars, country bumpkins and work life balance jocks.

You do realise that Collingwood has only won one flag in 32 years and one of their best players went to Bali on 4 day break to go on a bender and fondle women. Not to mention the previous history that club has had with racism led by their former president.

Yeah Craig McRae has led a nice revival at Collingwood but let’s see if they can back it up before looking to them as the beacon of success and culture.

In the meantime, I’d rather we looked at the Geelong and Sydney models of sustained success and really strong club cultures.

For all we know Collingwood could just be a flash in the pan, and they’ve achieved no more than we did last year and the year before.

Collingwood is going to be interesting next year. On face value you'd say that winning a million games by under a kick is not sustainable. 104% would have to be the lowest percentage for a top 4 team ever.

Does Ginnivan kick 40 again next year?
Do McStay, Frampton and Hill make them a better side?
Do DeGoey, Grundy and Henry leave this off season?

They've got some talented kids but some of their role players played out of their skin all year. Can they back that up?

They could easily finish 12th next year.

North Adelaide player with no left foot might have cost North the game. ball was on the ground. picked it up at top of goal square and just had to snap on his left and probably would have been a goal but went onto his right and kick was smoother didn't even get a rushed pt and Norwood cleared the ball. North were and are 5 pts up.

After that Mitch Harvey has taken 2 big match saving marks at CHB.
