I'd take Brad Scott over Hinkley. Or anyone.

Jordan De Goey has rejected a contract offer from Collingwood, saying he will not sign a new deal with the behaviour clauses the club is demanding.

De Goey told coach Craig McRae and football manager Graham Wright at his exit interview last week that he wanted to stay at the club but would not sign the new five-year contract offer with the existing behaviour clauses.

It would be an incredible cultural move for Collingwood to refuse to budge. Imagine the message that folding sends here?

DeGoey will end up at a club like Geelong or Sydney if Collingwood stand their ground which is gross, but if we had a someone like that on our list i'd absolutely want him delisted.

Surely Carlton & Gold Coast are over the odds?

Barring injuries, I think the Blues will at least play off in a PF, & the Suns might finally make the 8.
Just read some early predictions for next year, and a couple of so called experts have Port in the top 4. Mind you, they said the same thing this year.

Sorry for unleashing my inner Papa G here, but can we all stop making 'AFLM' a thing?

There's no such thing as AFLM. There's the AFL and the AFLW. Nobody has ever seen somebody use the acronym AFL and been confused about whether they're referring to the men's or the women's competition. If you started calling the NBA the 'MNBA' they'd have you committed.

The Carlton odds I can understand because plenty of optimistic Carlton supporters would be putting their money on them based on their improvement this season.

Port have a history of randomly popping back to the top 2/4 so I can see it happening.

Once in deep September who knows what cab happen

On SM-S908E using BigFooty.com mobile app
Yes except we haven't after a 1 year miss

made finals 13, 14, 17, 20 & 21
missed 15, 16, 18, 19, 22 & ......23??

Patten is quite clear and we do have a 10 season sample size

Personally I still cant rule out 2020 & 2021 wasnt an artificial bump due to the covid affected seasons.

2022 was really the first season return to normality for the AFL (No relocated games, hubs, breaks etc) and we went straight back to our 2019 mid table from

They're probably trying to follow the cricket

In that case they should just label both competitions 'AFL' instead of arbitrarily adding the 'W' to the women's comp.
There's this too

I agree, this is clearly a great opportunity to knock the trans-athlete debate on the head by calling it AFLXX and AFLXY :thumbsu:

I use it in the context of comparing the AFL and AFLW for clarity, given "AFL" is now commonly used to refer to the sport of Australian Rules Football in general. I acknowledge this isn't correct but who am I to rally against how language is used by the general populace.

Nobody calls basketball the sport "NBA", so there is never going to be any confusion.
